Review titled (More for your info - not likely to be published)
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I had an appointment with a F Y 2 Doc yesterday and let's say "I got the impression he'd only been on this bit of rotation for 2 days". (Well, waiting outside office while he 'writes up previous/revises next' is not within the 10mins given per patient appointment was a bit of a clue...) I assumed I got him as it was a follow up to e-Consult and he had time to do 'research' as most info was with him already. He seemed to be struggling with E M S, (although he apologised for not seeming to pay me enough attention) and the concept of 'one symptom' is not always the first thing that's mentioned but the most relevant to 'guiding along a diagnosis pathway'. Systemic signs of 'active malady' should direct thinking over 'what patient first mentions'. Any patterns/references to past e-consult/history were not 'incorporated into the thinking' and when I preempt the questions (Is there this/that?) because I know the questions should be acknowledged instead of me being asked those same questions 3 or 4 times within the consultation. I know the brain is working along 'ask X - get answer Y/Z - follow flow to end of diagnostic flowchart revised in their head' so it's not personal, just needs to build up experience and skills and that will click into place. Not stating he's dangerous but 'lacking in confidence'. GPs are about many comorbidity patients (not all of them as knowledgable/engaged as myself) but felt he needs more 'easily diagnosed patients' in order to build up his confidence and practice his way around the system for a while. By doing this, you have increased your own workload as patients will have to return 'to get stuff sorted' and your other trainers/partners have to sacrifice more time in supporting them. It's not your fault and there's no blame but let's say that a long wait for an appointment which still doesn't help isn't going to get your workload easier.

Review titled Great doctor
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Malcolm Wilson Higgins - Posted on 18 August 2023
Visited Wed 16/08/2023 to explain my concerns about my medication. The doctor was very empathetic and assured me about the concerns I have. I came away reassured about my case and thanked the doctor accordingly.

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by ANDREW TRILSBACH - Posted on 05 June 2023
Friday I attended to leave a blood test again and I didn't have to wait and the nurse talked to me about my diabetes and praised me for giving up smoking which was 16 months ago and I was only there 20 minutes, I also never have difficulty getting an appointment, many thanks.

Review titled Disappointing
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Janet Laverick - Posted on 25 April 2023
After being a patient here my whole life (60yrs) I have left this practice. This practice has rapidly gone down hill in recent years. Appointments are none exist, the Doctors are elusive and there is no care or pride in any of their work. If you actually do get through on the phone, you have to get past the uncaring, snippy person on the other end but usually it's to be told there are no appointments and to start the whole sorry procedure the next day. It's disappointing that a once caring, professional and personable practice has been reduced to a telephonist nightmare. I'm mindful that the NHS is in crisis at the moment but there is no excuse for the lack of care and empathy that this practice shows now. The patient's here are now just a number.

Review titled service and attitude gone right downhill!
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 April 2023
I've been a patient at this surgery for over 50 years and the service an attitude has declined dramatically over the years - especially since covid. they don't seem to have any time for you now and its the hardest thing in the world to get an appointment. i understand staff shortages at the moment, my place of work in the NHS is the same, but at least we are doing everything we can for our patients more than i can say about this surgery now. terrible service and some of the Drs haven't a clue what they are doing Im afraid resulting in numerous phone calls chasing things up. time to move on i think.
