  1. Review titled Frustrating experience.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Have visited practice for not keeping fluid and pain this week. Seen by PA and not GP who just took notes and offered over the counter medicines in consultation with GP. The main problem of not able to keep fluid and vomiting's is overlooked. Finally visited Emergency where fluid and nausea, pain meds offered and worked well.

I am caring for a friend who has a learning disability and each time we go there we feel humiliated. The manager and at least one gp are very unprofessional and not kind at all

  3. Review titled Surprisingly Convenient

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Robert Hughes - Posted on 20 May 2024

As I had failed to get in touch with my GP, I went to the walk-in centre - expecting a lengthy wait. Not only was there no queue - so I could register withe reception. Even more conveniently, I was given an appointment in 2 hrs time - meaning I could pop home, and return later. When I did - I was only waiting about 20 minutes before being seen by a (very nice) doctor. Prescription provided - and off I went having only spent about 30 minutes in total there.

  6. Review titled Denied appointment when reached GP for asthma

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Jayaprabha - Posted on 20 March 2024

I had asked for an appointment for getting my inhaler as I am using it for past 10 years. My current inhaler which I had with me from India is getting over and I had asked for an appointment for getting prescription as no pharmacy is giving out inhaler without prescription. I am registered with Broad Street mall GP for 2 years and paying all my NI but was sent back saying I need to take a full medication review and the next appointment was at Apr 11. This is really disappointing that a person with shortness of breath was sent back with an appointment date for next month!!! The next option given to me was to again return on the next day for getting an appointment. This is really frustrating and I am mentally stressed and anxious about my inhaler getting over.

  7. Review titled Missed appointment and Gp not willing to take case

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Maryam - Posted on 20 March 2024

I called on a Monday to have a telephone appointment but the clinician I spoke to booked a face to face appointment for a swab test the following day but unfortunately I was 10mins late due to my pregnancy circumstances and because the receptionist don’t want to hear excuses I couldn’t explain myself which I got a letter about missed appointments which I attended but was late. I called the next day, waited 30mins on queue and got an evening appointment and it was a male GP available but the previous GP already told me I could take the swab sample myself if I wasn’t comfortable with a male GP taking it which was perfect by me. I got a call back from the receptionist saying the male GP can’t take the case and I tried explaining I will take the sample myself or if he could atleast book me another appointment for the next day but was negative. Was re-asked to callback which will be on Thursday to book an appointment or come in physically to book one which I feel it’s unfair considering my situation

  8. Review titled Autism trained

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 February 2024

I attended urgent care appointments with my daughter who is being assessed for autism. I mentioned this and she received responsive, impressive care which demonstrated that the healthcare practitioners we saw understood autism and how that impacted her care needs. We felt welcome and listened to. Thank you.

  9. Review titled Getting even worse.

Rated 1 star out of 5

The operation of this surgery has been taken over by another practice. It has taken another step down following on from this. Coincidentally, the other practice has recently improved from its very poor performance. I suspect that they have simply moved resourcing from one to another.

  10. Review titled Not walk in

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 November 2023

I went Bupa online doc said I should go to go there immediately for chest pains. At the urgent care counter 4:20 pm I was told the NHS website is wrong its not a walk in centre and even if it was it has no appointments for urgent care either. The main signage no longer talks about it being a walk-in centre so I am very confused by the advice on this page.
