  2. Review titled Disgraceful

Rated 1 star out of 5

Due to the complete incompetence of a so called doctor I ended up in hospital for a week and having to have 4 weeks off work, my thyroid medication I had been taking for 10 years was just stopped no lowering my dose just stopped and taken off my repeat prescriptions had no typhoid function at all in hospital, I am now on heart medication as it’s caused me to have an irregular heartbeat, liver problems , adrenal glands on my kidney is inflamed ,hair loss , thyroid gland in my throat is swollen, my bone mass has reduce and many more health problems . If I didn’t go to hospital when I did due to breathing problems I would not be here now . Absolute joke of a surgery. And do not get me started on the rudeness of the receptionist I had the phone put down on me when I asked if I could see a different doctor I was told that” it can’t be that bad then can it “ . Please do not use this surgery !!

  3. Review titled Awful!

Rated 1 star out of 5

A GP at this surgery requested that I be contacted to make a face to face appointment. This never happened & only came to light this 'request' had been placed on my notes when I had been to see a Physiotherapist for an unrelated condition several months after & I asked for an update & if there had in fact been a 'request' put in for an ultra sound scan which we had discussed at a previous appointment. When, on that day, I questioned reception why I had not been contacted, a member of the staff told me several attempts had been made to contact me, this was a bare faced lie. I have no 'missed calls' no 'voice messages' no nothing from the Surgery regarding them trying to contact me. I was offered an appointment for 4pm that day which was not convenient for myself as I had other appointments at that time (3hrs notice for an appointment that should have taken place over 4mths ago) I was told to ring at 8am the following day which I did only to be told, when the phone was finally answered that no appointment available (again!) after a brief discussion (again!) with the same member of staff I was told to ring again at 2pm. This was again attempted but to no avail. A GP is requesting to see one of his patients & said patient cannot get an appointment! I have been a patient of this Surgery for 21yrs (much longer than any of the staff, Nurses & GP there at the moment!) & have witnessed first hand the changes made, the Staff used to be lovely, helpful & considerate, sadly this is not the case today. The care given by GPs' themselves was second to none (although there is only 1 resident male GP, no resident female GP anymore even though this is listed on the Surgery website) If I ever get my 'face to face' appointment with the GP who requested this in the 1st place I hope to report that that 'care' may be of the same standard as it used to be. Once this 'issue' is cleared up & hopefully sorted out, we, as a family, will be changing our Surgery.

  4. Review titled Impossible to see a doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Adrian - Posted on 28 March 2023

I am writing a review on behalf of my parents who are too upset and frustrated by this "medical" practice. My dad is in his late 80's and my mum in her mid to late 70's. In almost 6 years, my dad has been seen once by a dr at this place, and only because he forced the issue. He is on constant medication for epilepsy as well as having several other medical issues, and yet no reviews, follow ups or treatments is ever offered. My mum in the last few years has experienced numerous medical issues and still they refuse to treat or see her. Only the other day she called at 8am as they are told to do to as being the only way to get an appointment. At 8am she was told she was caller 12 in the queue. By 8:15 the automated message said all appointments were now gone for the day and to call back tomorrow!!!! Are you telling me they only have less than 12 appointments per day?!! Today she had to go in to provide a sample for a nurse. 3 hours later they call back and to quote"you have an infection, we are providing a prescription, good bye" and the phone was put down!! Wow!! Where is the care and attention?! The phone was put down before my mum could say or ask anything. Due to the nature of the issue and several other issues my mum is experiencing, she called back to make an appointment with a dr. To be told they only have 1 dr now and he is on annual leave!!!! This dr is on annual leave more than he's at work. So my mum asked to see a locum to be told they have 1 who works from home but there are no appointments this week!!!! Its Tuesday and there are zero appointments with a dr who only works from home. So no chance of physically seeing someone which has been the issue for years now. I understand during covid, but now?!! On the one occasion my mum did see a dr in the last few years despite numerous requests to do so, she went in with pain and swelling to her knee which had been like that for months (not days, months). The dr was wearing hospital scrubs (in a GP practice) and at no point did he even look at, or touch her knee!!! Needless to say she was told to ice it and see if it gets better. Its already been months so not sure how that will help. My parents are left feeling like they are too old and an inconvenience and that they don't matter. Great patient care. There are other negatives I could add, but I'm running out of characters to explain how bad they actually are. Time to find a new practice and someone who actually cares about the patient, wants to treat them and actually see them. Enough is enough!!!

  5. Review titled Uncontactable

Please can you let me know your appointment capacity, after calling today at 8 my wife was allocated caller #29 and was on hold until 0939. At 0939 she was told by the automated system that the capacity was reached and told to call Livi. On starting Livi that system said it had reached capacity. Does this mean that the surgery has less than 29 appointments available today ? Further I have tried to contact the Surgery using the email addresses published on their webpage - these all return as not functioning. Regards, David.
