After traveling from a friends house and leaving with ample time to get to my surgery - my appointment booked two days in advance - the busses were on diversion. I phoned the surgery twice to be greeted with a rude and unfriendly tone, as well as no helpful attitude at all. I explained the situation and was simply told you must be within the ten minute threshold. This appointment was very important but this was not taken into account nor the transport situation. I got off the bus and ran to the surgery, 10 minutes late, once again to be met with an unfriendly manner from one of the reception staff. This is not the first time I have encountered this woman being unfriendly and unwelcoming and she leaves a sour taste in one’s mouth after being in the surgery. I asked if I could arrange a call for later, or simply speak to my GP for 2 mins regarding a referral but was met with no help at all and not even an apology on behalf of the surgery or a smile! I have lived in a third world country where doctors and health care is scarce and difficult to come across and yet the helpfulness and friendliness is never missing. Shocked to see how the NHS staff work and communicate. Very sad.

Yet again I write a review I cannot praise enough the kindness coming from the people who work at Brookfield Park Surgery towards their patients and for that matter me.....such kindness and sensitivity seems to me rarer and rarer in the current times. Today was yet another great example of being listened to and receiving great advice that one can only trust when coming from such able medics Did I not mention the brilliant reception staff? Friendly, so polite and very helpful I consider myself fortunate to have such people caring for me

I praise the staff dealing with the phones and the nurses in this practice. Prescriptions are dealt with care and the nurse is brilliant she really is....a pleasure
