  1. Review titled Worse doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 January 2023

It was such a bad experience as the doctor was not even listening to us. My mother doesn’t speak English and when she was speaking in our language to explain the doctor seems irritated and she was just focused on to kick us out. Very bad experience with us. She treated very badly with my 70 years old mom. It is obvious that an old person takes time to act and even when she is not well but the doctor was rushing us. I hope nobody else have to deal with her. I don’t want her to giggle or laugh but she didn’t even smiled once .my mom was so disappointed and we decided to take her to our own country for the further check up.

  2. Review titled Uncaring and untrained staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by David Ramsay - Posted on 09 December 2022

6th. December I had surgery to remove a possible cancer on my forehead, nurse at hospital told me to book stitches removal at doctors surgery which I managed to do for the 16th, she also told me to have dressing changed. Thursday 8th, called into Gillies surgery to ask if a nurse could change the dressing for me as I had noticed the wound had been bleeding. I explained that I have Parkingson's and shake and was worried that I could pull the stitches out, I am also 83 years of age. I said perhaps later in the afternoon or even tomorrow would be fine if possible. the reply I received was, " no nurses available until the 22nd of December. I asked what about any of the other surgeries in the group, reply was, 22nd, December, Incredulous, I would have to wait until the 16th, when I have the stitches removed with a blood soaked dressing on my forehead, ( a sticking plaster stuck fast ). It now means because of the refusal by the surgery, I have to travel to the hospital to get help, disgraceful. Since this surgery amalgamated it started to loose patient care, but it has became much worse under the new owners, Phone waiting times could be up to over half an hour, text messages with links that do not open, seemingly untrained receptionists ( not all of them ) and a lack of understanding and care. One only has to read the comments posted on social media in the area served by this group to see it's failings. What has happened to care in the community under this group.

  7. Review titled No clue what is going on

Rated 1 star out of 5

Very hard to get appointments. Telephone appointments are given but then no one ever rings. Each campus blames the other for mix ups with given times or appointments. Impossible to get support for mental health or woman's health.

Dear Patient Thank you for posting your feedback about Camrose, Gillies & Hackwood Partnership. I am sorry that you did not receive a telephone call that you had booked. This could be for a several reasons: 1. We hold an incorrect number for you on our clinical system. When booking the telephone call, the team member should always check your phone number is correct so if this is what happened, I am sorry for this error. 2. The clinician tried to reach you, but you didn’t pick up or were unable to pick up the call. In this event the clinician would not leave a message if the voicemail box didn’t clarify it belonged to you. 3. The appointment booking time/date was not correctly given to you or misheard by you. Again, I am sorry for this. We have services specifically designed to support our patients who are struggling with their mental health. We have a special interest GP and a clinician from MIND. We are also trying to recruit a special mental health clinician to increase our ability to support patients. However, all mental health services are under significant pressure currently and NHS waiting lists to access these services are longer than we would want. With regard to women’s health clinics and your difficulties accessing these, we offer a range of clinics and appointments including services on Saturdays and in the evenings. I am sorry that you have had trouble accessing these. If you can email our generic email with your name I can investigate further why you have experienced trouble booking into these services. I am sorry that you have been unhappy with the services that Camrose, Gillies & Hackwood have provided and would like to reassure you that we are committed to continuous improvement of our services. Yours sincerely Jane May Regional Manager
