    tried calling for 2 hrs to be told that there are no appointments for my 2 year old grandson, who has been up all night with a badly swollen and red eye, and told to take him to Clacton to see if they will see him, absolutely disgusting attitude on the phone by the receptionist and not a care for patients well being, impossible to get appointments, I would expect better manners on the phone and not to be fobbed off when it's regarding a child!

    After contacting the doctors office in regards to an infected insect bite was informed that they do not look at bites. The next day I spent over an hour from 8am( when they open) trying to get an appointment only to be told that there were none left. (The area is badly swollen and inflamed) The lady I spoke to was very helpful and sympathised with the situation. She advised that I go to the walk in centre at clacton-on-sea. I understand that they are busy but the appointment system needs to be re addressed. I received a+ service at Clacton even though I felt foolish taking their time for a course of antibiotics. I have had to take a day off work to get this ( easily sorted treatment). Come on Caradoc start putting your patients 1st like you did before covid was an excuse.

    Dear Joanne, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am very sorry to read that you had difficulties getting through to the surgery and that you are disappointed that we were unable to offer you an appointment. Unfortunately, due to our capacity being reached on the day you required an appointment, we had to close our triage list at 9:32am. It would not have been clinically safe to book anymore patients in with the clinicians which is why you were advised to approach the urgent treatment centre in Clacton. I am pleased to note they have issued you the anti-biotics and I wish you a speedy recovery. We are aware that some patients find it difficult to get through to the surgery, especially between the core hours of 8am and 10am, this is something that we are looking into and soon, we are hoping to change our process and adapt a more online approach. This will mean that patients will no longer need to call the surgery, you can submit your requests online and receive a response via the same method. The phones will still be available for those patients who do not have online access.     Usual trouble getting a appointment like all surgery but staff ok nurses and doctors ok they actually listen to you I have been going there for 2 years never had a problem

    My visit this am (16th Jan) went so smoothly. Quickly seen. Lovely, smiling face, to listen to my tale of woe. Very thorough check over. Decisive, caring, conclusion. This visit alone aided my recovery enormously. My grateful thanks.
