Booked in for hospital date appointment from the surgery on 2/8 . Contacted hospital as still haven’t received date . To find out the surgery had not sent or informed the hospital of my new contact details . Shocking ! How was the hospital meant to contact myself . How does this happen ? Seems the administration i the surgery is as bad as the receptionists .Things need looking into at this surgery

  2. Review titled Amazing

I have been a patient of this practice for many years. I have always found them to be really professional, helpful and friendly. There are many ways to contact them, the new patchs system is brilliant. It always a lot of information to be passed to the clinicians before they have even spoken to you. They are always really helpful when I call and their repeat prescription service is always really quick. I would thoroughly recommend the Caritas surgeries to anyone

  3. Review titled Excellent Triage Service and Friendly staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Been a patient since it opened about 24 years ago. Had a number of health concerns over the years and I found I was always contacted within the time they said. I used to phone and wait in the phone queue but three times recently I have used their Patchs system. I was a bit sceptical at first but I filled in the questionnaire and pressed submit. Within 5 hours I had a phone call with the GP who rang my mobile and a 5 minute conversation and I was advised and medication prescribed and asked to update the surgery in 4 weeks. 4 weeks later I used the same Patch system and received a text message within 2 hours to say a further prescription was at the Chemist next door for as and when medication to help me control my symptoms over the next 6 weeks. I was asked to update the surgery a few weeks later. I did the same thing again - sent a message and confirmed I was fully recovered. I know using computers or phones for messages isn't for everyone but for me it means I can go to work and know the surgery will contact me when they can. The phones are then free for people who struggle with using smartphones or computers. I have been more than satisfied with the service here and give them 5 stars.

Dear Mark, Thank you for your review. I am glad that the system works for you and that despite being sceptical you gave it a go and found it helpful. Please encourage other people you know to try the system at the practices they are registered with as it does help clear the telephone lines for patients who cannot use technology. I will pass on your comments to the rest of the team. Kind Regards, The Management Team
