The care I recieved was fantastic the nurse was very pleasent and calming. But the walls are crumbling and don't think anyone going there once would return as it us very of putting. The nurses room around the windows inside are rusty and wall starting to crumble. Such a shame as can't fault the treatment.

Review titled Carn to Coast Health Centres - St Day Surgery

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. Although I can assure you that much work continues to be done on repairs and maintenance to keep the St Day branch running (and there is a regular cleaning regime), we are aware that it is essentially unfit for the purpose of a modern GP surgery. We had worked for some time with a charitable trust in an effort to secure a new purpose-built surgery but the opening of a pharmacy in the village, combined with rising building costs, rendered this non-viable. Furthermore, we cannot practicably move into a local site more suitable for patient care as NHS rules require ‘new’ premises (as distinct from existing ones) to meet far more exacting and therefore unaffordable standards. We have to date maintained a limited service at St Day out of concern for patients locally who might have difficulty in travelling but we do appreciate that you and other patients have valid grounds for considering that the standards which can be maintained within the fabric of that building are unacceptable and will take this into account in our future planning. Yours sincerely, Stephen Holby Managing Partner Carn to Coast Health Centres
