  1. Review titled Great practice some tweaking re peri menopause care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

In general the practice is responsive, quick to triage and give appointments and helpful. One point, a male GP in a session focusing on my peri menopause symptoms told me what menopause was ie a year after last bleed. This felt patronising and unnecessary. This wasn’t where I was and I was well aware of what menopause is. I would encourage a more collaborative approach which he generally had, but some thought about why that information was given. It wasn’t relevant and was irritating and undid some of the rapport that had been created. Similar to another male doctor asking me how I knew I was ovulating in a way that seemed incredulous. Not all women use contraceptives hormones and so can have a good knowledge and understating of their cycle and any changes to it.

  2. Review titled Poor service and inacurate information

Rated 1 star out of 5

Poor attention to detail provided. There was a lack of consideration of my view and wellbeing. There was unqualified screening going on by admin staff. Lots of confusion and lack of clear information regarding feedback from the triage system. Their webpage should be improved and have clear information about how the appointment and feedback service is going to operate. I experienced long delays in their triage system and unnecessary re-referral to a pharmacist that delayed treatment. Most admin staff are polite and considerate but they are required to feedback detailed messages from the GP and there is plenty of opportunity for inaccurate miscommunication. I noticed that on my file the discussions with admin staff were recorded inaccurately and the relayed messages were recorded as appointments, but I have not yet spoken to a GP.

  3. Review titled Appalling patient care

Rated 1 star out of 5

Impossible to speak to a doctor, never mind getting a face to face appointment. Recently my wife was prescribed a course of antibiotics directly from the pharmacy, no call from the doctor to explain why or what the illness was. We thought the message from the pharmacy was a mistake, so did not pick it up for two days. When the antibiotics were finished but the symptoms persisted, a receptionist told her to make a routine appointment and offered a date two weeks later. This has been a pattern for a while, receptionists defer and at best you are offered a phone consultation with a PA. Appalling patient care

When visiting the GP with a family member this particular GP implied I was more bothered myself than the family member. Felt like I wasnt heard and didnt get the help I wanted in the form of antibiotics
