As a 30 year old childless woman, I had to have a full hysterectomy in 2021. I have since received over 10 cervical smear reminders from the doctors, which is a horrible reminder every time I open the letter. I have complained multiple times but they seems incapable of putting a note on my system to stop me getting these letters. It is very insensitive and infuriating everytime I get one. I know I can’t be the only person this affects too.

Castle Medical contacted me suggesting I go back to a Statin. I agreed. Blood test carried out. Results worrying but no one contacted me. Contacted them and arranged a phone appointment with GP for 11.30 29 Feb. No call so called them. GP claims to have phoned shortly before 14.00. Missed call on land line showed "anonymous". No message. All they needed to do was issue a prescription but after the delays it hasn't happended.

I recently had a very poorly little girl and the reception staff were amazing getting her seen straight away. She had to go pretty much every day in a week and the staff got in her straight away even when I called late in the afternoon. The doctors were good with her and and she ended up being sent to A&E but all the staff were great with her. Only recently moved to this surgery and would not of got this level of service at my last practice so was really impressed.

Had appointments with G.P. and paramedic this month in each case felt I was being listened to and had exemplary and empathetic treatment. Also all contacts with reception great, could not have been more helpful.

The treatment of my elderly father is a disgrace. His diabetes, review of X rays has not been cancelled once but twice. The first time the excuse was they had lost a nurse wonder if they have found them. The second time who knows my parents are too scared to complain but there treatment is a disgrace from a worried son. Never in my 50 years have I seen such appalling treatment.

A few days ago my 17 year old son was injured in a clash of heads playing football. It resulted in a tooth going right through his lower lip, obviously with quite some bleeding. I took him to Castle Medical, where he is registered. I was told to call the NHS helpline or take him to Loughborough Hospital. Nobody trained to stitch or glue and seal wounds!! We used to have a small hospital in Ashby to sort minor injuries out - just how much was spent on this useless new unit that won't even look at a wound let alone treat it? I took my son to the pharmacist next door who kindly and professionally treated his wound.

Awful surgery please register elsewhere instead. They have previously refused a repeat prescription for a 4 month old baby due to needing a review, however this was never mentioned prior to the prescription refusal and this lead to difficulties with feeding over the course of 2 weeks. They have also refused to see me due to being 5 minutes late to an appointment, but I was left to wait for 20 minutes before being informed that I would not be seen. Considering I had waited 2 weeks for this appointment and I’m usually seen around 20 mins past my appointment time I was truly shocked by this. One of the surgery partners was also incredibly dismissive of an issue relating to my baby and advised to give a 3 month old water. This is completely against NHS guidelines!

I saw a GP Registrar at the surgery today; he was very thorough and thoughtful and put me at my ease. It was a very positive experience at the surgery in all ways, including the ladies on Reception. Thank you - I know it can be tough.
