I was very happy with my appointment with the doctor.. She listened to my concern, and reassured me that it was appropriate to see her for an ongoing health issue that has not fully cleared up as although - currently it’s not causing me any discomfort - it has previously. She gave me a prescription to see if this resolves a potential underlying cause and made a future follow up telephone appointment. I felt I had an excellent patient experience with the doctor. Subsequently I received a text requesting I give feedback about my appointment with her. The link took me to a website requesting I log in to a Microsoft account which I was unable to do although I tried several times. Very odd! Shortly before this I received an NHS text which I thought was probably about a different NHS appointment (but I can’t be sure) signed off as tms (all written in caps which you won’t accept in this feedback form). I have no idea who tms is, and so I phoned and spoke to the Receptionist at the Gurney surgery this afternoon but she didn’t know either! Prior this I gave feedback on the link assuming the request was about an appointment I had with the Physiotherapist at the Gurney surgery but I can’t be sure if it was! It would be helpful if text messages requesting feedback were clearer.

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am pleased to read that you were happy with the appointment with our GP and that you felt you have been followed up appropriately. I will look into the I.T related issues regarding the text messages that you have raised and try and find out what has happened. Several organisations attached to the NHS send out texts for feedback to patients, including ourselves, and this can indeed be confusing - I will ensure that the messages we are sending are clearly marked as coming from us. The nurse who conducted my blood test at Tuckswood Surgery was incredible - not only was she extremely kind, supportive, professional and excellent at her job but also thoughtful and understanding. She took the time to listen to me, acknowledged, respected and validated but feelings, and soothed my anxieties regarding my various health concerns/conditions. She even took the time and energy to offer advice and helpful recommendations to ease my stress, improve my health and support my fertility journey (despite only going for a blood test). Her lovely nature, knowledge and professionalism made me feel safe, in good hands and cared for, which has helped me feel positive for the first time in weeks. All whilst training a student phlebotomist! Please thank her for me!

I have attended for various routine and medical condition related reasons in the the years that I have been registered with this practice. All of which have resulted in my complete satisfaction at the way in which I was treated from the receptionist through to the doctor or clinician. Appointment times have always been punctual and I have always left feeling that I have been tested very well and satisfied with the treatment that I've received. When I call by telephone I am particularly impressed by the way I am informed where I am in the queue giving me the option to hang up and try later if the queue is long (which, on the few times I've had to do this, has never been particularly long. I wish more answering services would employ this system as it gives the caller the exact information required and takes the lottery off wondering how fast up the queue one is and where to call later or not. This coupled with the Airmid system creates a sense of accessibility and control. Excellent!

I attended an audiologist appointment with my wife. While waiting, I saw outstanding patience kindness and professionalism shown the reception staff member on duty on the afternoon of the 8th of February. They dealt with a range of members of the public, including some clearly requiring support with real warmth and compassion. Some people of the best practice I have seen either professionally or as a member of the public.
