Review titled Life savers
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mr A. Nichols - Posted on 30 April 2024
My wife recently fell ill with severe stomach pain and fever..after we visited the surgery the Doctor and practitioner examined her and wasn't happy with her well-being and called for an ambulance. We since found out that she had Sepsis. If it wasn't for the quick actions and knowledge of these people my wife could have died. The care she received while waiting for an ambulance was exceptional and I cannot thank all the staff enough .

I was bitten by a dog and wasn't sure what to do I was near the surgery it was after hours but I went in.The doctor and the nurse helped kindly cleaned the area and they sent me to a&e.I was very grateful for the help they gave me as I wasn't sure what to do. I always find the practice very good and highly recommend it. Easy to get an appointment the day you need it. Many thanks

Review titled Too noisy - not good for sensory overload
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’m a person with no sensory issues but as a Mum and teacher I feel the experience in the reception is unpleasant. Phones are ringing constantly ( can’t be helped) the radio is blaring adverts and a screen is showing different types of green /bloody vomit. It’s 8:55am and I feel totally overwhelmed , irritable . I’m about to have a health check so rarely visit docs as I’m healthy. I expected to enter a calm quiet waiting area. I think for children , deaf people or someone with dementia this could be a difficult experience. The GPS are great - this is only a comment on the wait

Thanks very much for letting us know of your experience when you attended the practice. We apologize for your unpleasant experience at the reception desk and waiting area. Most patients are supportive of some light, calming music in the background but I do understand that it may be irritating for some patients. I will raise this at our next General Practice Meeting and also within our Patient Participation Group meeting to get some opinion and advice on music playing in the background and if so then what types and volumes are acceptable and not irritating to most patients.

Review titled Not a good practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

The surgery's phone line is always unavailable. When in need, their doctors don't answer the calls or book any appointment. My child has been in immense pain with an infection for 3 days and I got no answer on their phone. Ultimately, I had to go to a&e. Not recommended.

Thanks very much for your feedback. We are looking at ways to improve our telephone answer rates. This is being reviewed at present and we will make changes to not only improve the answer rate but also a view to reducing the wait times for calls to be answered.
