  1. Review titled Unexplained Decline in Service

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 December 2022

Have always been happy with doctors & nurses at this practice & impressed how they maintained service through Pandemic, moving online & phone triage. However suddenly now Accurx, while still active, no longer results in appointments but directs to telephone which is so poorly manned that queue is usually inaccessible (even if I'm able to wait an hour, I'm dumped without getting a place). Whether this is due to staff sickness is unclear as there is nothing on their website stating same or stating Accurx no longer working etc. Am currently trying to get 3 appointments & have got nowhere for a fortnight. I understand this is a busy time coming up to Christmas but some communication to help manage expectations would help patient's patience.

We are sorry you have struggled to access the practice via the phone system. Every available member of our reception team takes calls between 8:30 and 6:30 daily. We do not close for lunch. Our current phone system is in the process of being replaced by the NHS which will provide improved functionality such as call-back. This will prevent any patient waiting unnecessarily to get through.

  2. Review titled Can never get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 December 2022

Hold times on the telephones are ridiculous, very rarely results in actually getting an appointment. Have to ring day after day and still don’t get an appointment. Don’t understand why we are still finding it hard to get face to face appointments now. I’ve given up now and just don’t bother. Appalled to see they are open for new patients when the patients they already have are not being cared for.

  3. Review titled Flu Jab

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Lewis Hadley - Posted on 08 December 2022

Not being the bravest person when it comes to needles, this was not an appointment I was looking forward to. However, the receptionist & nurse at Bilton Green Surgery were outstanding in their professionalism & care. I actually enjoyed the experience. So much so I’m going back next week for a Shingles Jab.

  4. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

For years this practice has been wonderful to me, supportive and very well informed, especially with thyroid conditions. They are easy to talk to, and never make you feel like a burden.

  5. Review titled invisible if you phone for results

Rated 1 star out of 5

by invisible when phoning - Posted on 01 November 2022

Having now been on the phone for over an hour to get Test Results and having been number one for 58 minutes of that time. It appears that this form of communication is either not recognised/manned or quite frankly is ignored as being not important in the great scheme of things. Clearly you are encouraged to attend the Surgery and not waste time and effort by calling. Be warned you are not liable to get an answer. Still no answer in the time it has taken to type this....

  6. Review titled Central surgery downgraded

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Mr Grumpy patient(patience) - Posted on 05 August 2022

UHCW treated me earlier and recommended drugs which were sent to my address. I had an uphill struggle to get them on repeat prescription. Told by reception that drugs were available @ my local pharmacy. No such thing happened. Advised to ask doctors. Awaiting in telephone queue several times and several emails sent to prescriptions. Only a few tablets left before I run out. Automated reply only from my emails. No choice but to clog up the telephone queue yet again! Was advised I need doctor to call me!! The doctor I spoke with seemed very busy (not surprising as this was not a medical interview but an administration problem) My interim drugs were delivered however the next day to my pharmacy. They are just making work for themselves especially as I went to the trouble of getting EMIS logon; whats the point I cannot book online anymore? The econsult tag states it's changing to Accurx but nothing works!!

We are sorry you have struggled to order your repeat prescription. We are encouraging all patients to use the NHS App to order all prescriptions as it literally takes seconds to order. As soon as the request is received at the practice a digital signature is applied and the request is sent automatically to your preferred pharmacy. If you are unable to order your prescription this way, you can still ask your pharmacist to order it on your behalf.
