The new system for booking appointments is ridiculous,even when you have ongoing issues you cannot even book a review without filling in a form then you have to wait for a text or call to then book an appointment. The old system was much better or if you have a new issue fair enough use the form but you should be able to just book a review if your go has asked to see you in 3 months.

Twice now in the last two months I have tried to get an appointment for my son and been told they don’t have any appointment for 7 weeks. The first time he ended up at an out of hours appointment only to be sent straight to A&E and the second time it’s for mental health reasons. Told ring first thing in the morning but it is impossible to get through. They are still tagged on the NHS website as taking on new patients, when they cannot offer existing patients the service they need.
