I ordered a repeat prescription last Wed lunchtime. It's now the following Tuesday and it still has not been done despite the fact the surgery says to leave 3 working days. This is not the first time I have had difficulty with repeat prescriptions. On a previous occasion, my consultant had changed my medication and had written a very clear letter to the surgery to explain his course of action. When I came to order a repeat it didn't appear at the chemist. I went into the surgery and was given a spurious explanation from the receptionist with the promise that it would be there in a few days. It didn't appear. Back into the surgery and this time they wanted another letter. I pointed out they had already had one but they said it wasn't enough. I contacted my lovely consultant who was very patient and understanding and immediately sent one over. What annoys me is that they couldn't even be bothered in the first place to email or text me to say that they couldn't issue the prescription and the reason why so that I could have rectified it. I only found that out both times when I went to try and collect it. On the website it says they are accepting new patients but they don't seem able to effectively cope with the ones they already have.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologise for your experience. We process a huge number of prescriptions every day and on occasions things do go wrong. I am sorry to hear of the delay in your case. I would be happy to look into this with you if you want to contact the surgery to discuss with the practice manager.

Called in to drop off a sample Do to said to drop in before 3pm It was 2.35pm As I approached the desk I said I am here to drop off a sample The receptionist visibly looked annoyed and looked at the clock I explained the Gp said before 3pm She said what kind of a sample I had to say stool sample in front of everyone there I asked if there was a problem and she sarcastically said well if the doctor said before 3 then no I was astonished at her attitude towards me It was so unprofessional and made me feel embarrassed It’s bad enough thinking you may be very poorly without being treated like this The lady looked about 60 with blonde hair and a fringe I suggest you have her not patient facing No people skills at all Terrible experience
