Review titled Can't Get a Follow Up Appointment
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 March 2023
Following my latest Gastroenterologist appointment I need to review the ongoing symptoms and actions with my GP but can't get an appointment. This is despite ringing at 8am every day for the last 4 working days. This is starting to impact on my mental health.

Dear NHS Site User, Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback through our NHS page. We are sorry that you have had trouble trying to get an appointment. We are seeing a huge demand for appointments at the moment and despite offering an increased amount of appointments we appreciate how difficult it can be. This is something that we are working hard on within the envelope of funding that we are given by the Government. I would be very happy to talk to you about the things that we are doing to try and make the system better and listen to any ideas that you might have as well as helping with your specific problem and can be contacted on 01509 615271 should you wish to do that. Your sincerely, Paul Hanlon (Business Manager)

Review titled Impossible to get and appointment & rude
Rated 1 star out of 5

Been trying to get a future (2/3 days in advance) appointment since November for mental health concern as recommended by another mental health NHS service. Each time Iv called Iv been greeted by a rude receptionist that doesn’t even let you finish speaking or explaining what the appointments for or why it needs to be a future appointment due to work and not possible to do a same day appointment, for them to very rudely tell you it’s not something they do, you will have to call at 8am on the day and book an appointment, although when you do that bang on 8am all the appointments are gone?? How can they all be gone when Iv rang at 8am, been on hold less than a minute and yet all the appointments are gone? Not long been with the surgery after moving to the area recently and to be honest looking at moving surgery already! The place seems to be an absolute joke!

After having X-rays in Jan I couldn’t get blood tests till feb and now I’ve received a letter to make an appointment to see gp I can’t get one even though I ring every day I’m told it’s emergencies only and to ring back tomorrow it wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t in so much pain

Review titled Humanity.
Rated 1 star out of 5

Visited Rosebury pharmacy to collect prescriptions for my partner with my 6 year old, had a little bit of a wait and my 6 year old needed to use the toilet. Went to use the toilets in the surgery whilst we waited and got barked at by the receptionist, apparently because we're not registered with the practice my child was denied use of the toilet. What had happened to people!! What happened to decent humanity and just being a genuine human being, absolutely disgusted......6 years old!!!! I used to be a patient here and I'm so glad that I'm not longer. Would they have refused and elderly person or disabled??? Appalled.

Dear NHS Site User, Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us via the site. I would like to apologise to you and your six year old as we have quite clearly got this very wrong. We introduced some restrictions during the pandemic and also because some people had started to use the toilets to take drugs. Clearly neither of these are at all relevant in this case. We have issued some revised guidance to our team today to ensure that we don’t get this wrong for anyone else. Again I would like to apologise to you and your six year old, Paul Hanlon (Business Manager)
