Review titled Always amazing
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anna - Posted on 31 October 2024
Every single time I’ve had to access the GPs whether it is for a query, an appointment, an admin request or anything else, it has been so efficient, swift to respond and caring eg message at 8am, response by 8:30 with a prescription and collected it half an hour later. You are all brilliant and I’m lucky to be a patient here. Thank you!

Review titled Total triage a total disaster!
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 October 2024
What has happened to Charter Medical Centre, which used to be so brilliant? The answer: total triage. Now impossible to get an appointment with a Dr without completing an on-line e-consult, which leads you getting bounced to a pharmacist, paramedic, or other unsuitable service. I was recently refused an appointment for a wound check (for infection) - instead I was told I had to attend a walk-in minor injury unit 8 miles away where I endured a long wait for a doctor to look at the wound and tell me it wasn't infected - which took 1 minute. Thanks Charter - at this rate, people will stop seeking help from you - or is that the goal????

Came into the charter pharmacy to get an antibiotic prescription for a UTI and was seen immediately. Overall very happy with the pharmacy and the new pharmacy first scheme and would highly recommend!

I was quickly able to get antibiotics, out of hours for an infected insect bite. Really happy I didn't have to wait for a GP appointment!

Review titled Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

So reassuring to experience the joined up care between GP and pharmacy. Excellent care following a referral from a pharmacy in London after I requested a BP reading, Charter followed up and I was fitted with a 24 Hr BP machine in no time. So glad I used this service as my results were high and incredibly I was offered a GP appointment soon after. I appreciate this technology is not cheap but if it saves just one life it is worth it. Well done Charter, a big thank you to the pharmacist .

Review titled Fantastic service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Fiona - Posted on 08 August 2024
I took the time to write this, as I have been so impressed by Charter Medical Centre. I am a new patient and used their online appointment request to see a doctor, but mentioned two other concerns. Withing 30 minutes of my request, they had text me a link to make an appointment for both non-doctor issues (I am seeing the nurse at a time that suits me before work). 10 minutes later, I had a link for a doctor appointment within 3 days (non urgent issue). I saw the Dr today and waited less than 15 minutes for my appointment (as advised at check in). Dr was fantastic and took as much time as I needed. She also referred me for an issue and before the end of my working day, I had a text message from Charter to say my referral has been made. I can't recommend them highly enough and am so grateful for their outstanding care.

Review titled Great Pharmacy Service
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Very helpful and efficient pharmacy service to access treatment without seeing the GP. Unfortunately, the GP service has gone downhill with having to wait over 2 weeks to get an appointment!

Review titled Frustrating trying to access support
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by John B - Posted on 09 July 2024
Some of the GP’s are good here but getting to them using their new NHS online contact form is flawed massively. If you need an appointment and its not time dependent and you don’t care who you see and are totally flexible I’m sure its fine. If your concerns are more complex such as switching meds and needing to speak to somebody before your new meds run out for example, forget it. They also use contact forms for general enquiries and these allow you to reply just the once. Not satisfactory when people there are vague and you need clarification about something. I’m being a bit harsh but i do feel they could do alot better. Their previous system worked very well. I’m sure the switch was probably made to reduce costs.

Review titled They don't care...
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 June 2024
None of my issues have been addressed. Spoke at length and just given the stanard issue medication. They choose as and when to notify you of appointments. Took multiple months to get a blood test sorted. Different GP every time, and they don't communicate between each other, so constantly explaining the same thing over and over. Not a good experience.
