Review titled I have received the best of care.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 August 2023
I transferred from a local practice with which I was very dissatisfied. I have a number of health issues which have been treated very well and in a timely manner. So far I have always got a same day appointment either by phone or online booking. The reception staff are incredibly helpful and go out of their way to assist. The doctors all listen and discuss health issues and treatments. Additionally the practice pharmacists are just as professional and helpful. Altogether I have found this a brilliant surgery, well managed utterly professional and patient focussed and am so glad that I transferred from a practice where business seemed the prime consideration. Thank you to everyone.

From phone call to Surgery and then seeing medical staff..one can only praise this great team. Following diagnosis and advice on further treatment support and care was amazing..your staff are still 'real humans' with great qualities that cannot be bought..I have a medical background and am very confident in Charters.

Review titled Not good enough
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Gillian Carpenter - Posted on 06 June 2023
My brother, registered with Charter, was end of life. When I actually managed to speak to someone - especially someone medical, but reception staff to - they were wonderful. Empathetic and efficient. However, there's the rub. Actually getting to speak to someone is a fools errand. Over the course of three phone calls trying to speak to someone I spent a total of 4 and three quarter hours on hold waiting for someone to pick up. It's just unacceptable. All anyone can expect is good enough care from a GP surgery but waiting considerably over an hour each time is not even in the same universe as good enough. However I would like to thank the medics who attended my brother in his final week. They were excellent. Their compassion towards him and the family, plus facilitating medication to keep him comfortable was fantastic. As a result of their efficiency he passed away peacefully and pain free.

Review titled Feels like I’m just a number ! Overwhelmed practice .
Rated 1 star out of 5

Sadly , I was diagnosed as diabetic some years ago after a routine blood test. I later discovered that a blood test 5 years previously to this one had not been disclosed to me, apparently I was pre diabetic but unaware of the situation. No member of staff told me this. There was no follow up. I now have to take a cocktail of drugs to control my illness. My main gripe is with the doctors still not wanting to see people face to face . Even when you do E Consult , the follow up is poor. The pandemic is now over. Doctors, quite rightly get paid very substantially, so why can’t we have weekend appointments? Newsflash , people feel poorly seven days a week and not just Monday to Friday !

Review titled Awful wait times for anyone who has to call
Rated 2 stars out of 5

They text asking you to call but it takes 45mins+. Still on hold currently for my son who I can’t book for online as he’s under a certain age. The hold times for reception are obscene and not understandable when you see the volume of staff

I had a telephone consultation about managing pain. The GP was knowledgeable and practical. I appreciated not having to sit in the surgery even though he was punctual and prompt. Thank you
