  1. Review titled How does one contact this practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 December 2024

After leaving feedback for this practise they responded, which I guess is nice, by saying they can't respond and that I should contact them. How would you like me to contact you? In my feedback my main complaint was that you don't answer the phone or return calls. I will not spend another minute trying to call this surgery. Provide me of a means to communicate with you. This is 2024, there is email, the WhatsApp app, the Telegram app, the NHS website, the NHS phone app or even just SMS - these are all secure. Or at least enable online appointment booking again.

  2. Review titled Absolutely disgraceful

Rated 1 star out of 5

This practise does not answer their phone, return calls or make provision in any way to contact them. I have requested three or four times that my prescription be put on repeat. Every time they agree and every time a week before I need to have my repeat prescription fulfilled I discover they have not set up the repeat and I have to waste days to try and get hold of someone. I work fulltime, I cannot hold for hours on end and there is no other way to contact them. They have the audacity to request that we respect staff but we are treated with contempt and disregard.

  4. Review titled Distressing experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Joanne Wheeler - Posted on 17 October 2024

I was in the waiting area when an elderly gentleman was trying to explain to the receptionist the circumstances regarding his wife. He was clearly distraught, at the end of his tether and displayed frustration. At no point was he rude. The receptionist showed no empathy and just kept repeating the policy of the surgery. No progress was being made and the problem was not resolved with no alternatives being offered. Another person arrived to assist the receptionist and he told the gentleman he needed to calm down and in order to do so he should go for a walk and come back. The gentleman realised he wasn't going to get any resolution and agreed to leave. It was extremely distressing to witness the way this man was treated. He was so distraught and to let him just leave seemed like the wrong thing to do. He needed comfort and support, not to be sent away. He even said that he feared his wife may be dead the following day. I accept I don't know the full circumstances and hope the correct course of support was eventually found for this man and his wife, but the way the situation was handled was not professional or caring. This isn't my usual experience at Chastleton as I've always found all the reception staff to be very helpful and caring, so this was quite shocking to witness.

Dear Joanne I wanted to acknowledge your comment. As you indicate confidentiality prevents any specific discussion about this incident. I did witness events myself, and whilst I don’t completely concur with all your interpretation of what was witnessed would totally accept it was regrettable, and lessons certainly can be learned and shared. 5. Review titled Poor Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John - Posted on 19 September 2024

I tried to arrange a doctors appointment today 19.09.24 I managed to get through before I arrived at work which is very rare. I was informed that I could see a nurse at 10:15 which was no good as I explained to the receptionist I was on my way to work. I was not given the option of a doctor or to submit images via a link which I am aware is an option. For people who work the service is poor if you are lucky enough to get through before you start work you normally find all appointments are gone and told to call back another day . I'm sorry but this is why peoples conditions are getting worse, because they cant see a doctor. Something needs to be put in place for the people who work.

  7. Review titled superb and quick diagnosis

From arriving being short of breath to cancer surgery took only 7 weeks. Chastelton staff were all excellent, keeping me well informed and following up.
