I booked an appointment for a vaccination and I arrived in time for my appointment and received one phone call 9 minutes before the allocated time , just as I was parking the car at the surgery . When I checked in ,which it allowed me to do , I was then approached by the receptionist by name who said I had received 2 phone calls to cancel the appointment and there was no apology . I received one call 9 minutes before the appointment not 2 . This is completely unacceptable , I could have taken the bus , got a lift or even had a carer driving me . If it was known that the appointment was cancelled far more notice should have been given , it it was cancelled as a result of an emergency then of course I understand but no apology , no explanation is unacceptable .

After tests, the follow up with a GP was very positive. and I was given half an hour in which the doctor discussed and tried to understand my problem which I very much appreciated.

I'm in need of a follow up to make sure an infection has cleared and no further treatment is needed. Follow up is advised to happen in 6 days from now, earliest appointment is on 3 weeks. Really bad that the GP themselves cannot decide what cases should be reviewed first in person(based on clinical outlook) and all you get is a "book yourself an appointment".
