Once again no help from these doctors! Rushed conversations on the phone, she probably hadn’t even read my notes as had just assumed I had sleeping problems. No change, no outcome and once again no help!!

  2. Review titled Concerning level of service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been a patient at this practice for over 40 years. In that time the service has been good but it has declined alarmingly in recent times. Contact now relies through online forms. I contacted the surgery to report a potential prostrate issue together with another personal matter. I was told that I should book a face to face appointment. The earliest that I could get was two and a half weeks later. The day before the appointment I was called by a Doctor and talked through the issues. I was sent a link to book a blood test via an online link and book an appointment for an examination. The blood test link worked well & was done. The appointment link gave the next available slot for almost 6 weeks later. This is far too long! I am still waiting. Since then I completed another online form with a picture for a different health issue. I highlighted that I was heading off on holiday 5 days later and would appreciate feedback before I went away. I was contacted via text to say that demand had exceeded capacity and that I should resubmit the form at 8.00 am the next day for a face to face appointment. I didn’t need a face to face appointment, simply a call or comment about possible medication was all I needed. I heard nothing more from the surgery. In addition to all this I sent a request for a repeat prescription for a regular medication several days ago. This has never been a problem before. When I checked the status through the App it says that it has not been processed for an indeterminate reason. The result is that I am away abroad on holiday and will run out of medication before I get back. I am really concerned about the overall service provided by Stanmore medical group over these last few months. I am a very capable person and I am assertive enough to apply pressure to get things done. I am concerned that vulnerable patients may really struggle to get an adequate level of medical care with the current level of service through this practice.

  3. Review titled Sadly gone downhill

Whilst some Doctors are fantastic getting an appointment has become almost impossible. Completing an on-line forms, attempting to get an appointment is intimidating. I certainly feel like a patient number rather than a person who is also a patient.
