Review titled Rude and unhelpful reception staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by S Riches - Posted on 21 September 2023
Trying to get an apointment within 16 days is like trying to draw blood from a stone. Some of the reception staff are unhelpful. Complaints take months to be replied to and are full of inaccuracies and misleading remarks, if replied to at all, and are not taking seriously or try to shift the blame. All communication is poor. You need to complete online forms to access the online system, but this is only available in office hours meaning you loose a day's work, and can't be done any other way, so what's the point? This doctor surgery refuse to use online booking slots, non face to face consultations for things like discussing test results and medication reviews, etc and seams poorly managed to me. I have zero faith in this hp surgery any more. Most of the nursing staff and doctors are nice and helpful but there are exceptions. Phone lines are only available between 8:30 til. 12 and then 2:30 til 6, if you can get through at all. I have often witnessed the phone ringing being ignored while the reception has a private chat with a colleague. Car park, whilst large, is poorly laid out with a bottle neck at the car park Entrance and a lack of what feels safe padesrian access as often larger vehicles park on pavement or have to mount curb In order to get in and out of access road. There not even a clock in the waiting room. To be honest, I've come to the conclusion that to wait to be seen by a GP at Chet Medical Practice, when you finally manage to get an apointment, you could be in need of the undertaker. Ver poor quality of service indeed!

Review titled Terrible service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by James Rivett - Posted on 21 September 2023
Since 2020, the level of service has declined rapidly. A few of the Reception staff are rude, communication is very poor, and trying to get an apointment is impossible thanks to most of the doctors only working 3day weeks. Very poorly managed, which is a great pity, as the facilities are good, and the service used to be excilent but is let down by a minority of staff employed. Obviously the CQC agree. Phone lines are no longer answered between 12 and 2:30, dispensory only available between. 10 and 12:30, All prescriptions take a minimum of 7 working days (yes that's correct 7 working days where others ask for 3 or 5) now to be processed. Often witnesses people waiting for reception or phone ringing while staff continue private conversations.
