Had appointment to see Nurse for many blood tests etc. Unfortunately currently going through emotional times and I must say the Nurse was absolutely superb with caring and understanding too.

I required a last minute, urgent appointment. The team were fantastic and made sure I was seen the same morning. The entire process was quick, efficient and professional.

I just wanted to say, what a fantastic surgery you run. I called this morning to try and get an appointment for my daughter who was on her way to work so unable to make the call herself at 0800 hrs – whilst there were no doctors appointments available at a time that she could do, we've been able to get an appointment with the physio for tomorrow (9th Oct) which is perfect for the issue she has. I cannot believe how accessible your appointments are – your Saturday morning appointments are an asset too and I made use of this myself recently. Your receptionists are always so calm and helpful – an asset to the surgery. Keep this up, I am currently dealing with my mother's surgery and everything has to go through an online form which takes up to 14 days before they respond – such a stressful situation to be dealing with. I so wish they'd look at how Chew Medical practice is run !

We are very lucky to have this practice, extremely efficient, great staff, easy to contact and easy to get appointments. Respond amazingly well to emergencies I speak to friends registered at other practices and I’m shocked that Chew Medical Practice is so much more efficient An appointment today which was initiated by doctor, all staff polite and great doctor, came out feeling very positive

We are so lucky to have such an incredible medical facility in the Chew Valley. It is immediately clear that it is a well managed, efficient and happy practice. The receptionists, nurses and doctors could not be more helpful and caring. Patients are able to see a doctor if necessary on the same day as telephoning and certainly within a few days for a routine appointment. I telephoned yesterday morning and saw an excellent doctor that afternoon. This is undoubtedly an example of what the NHS should aspire to. Thank you all, Robert Webb

After suffering with a cough for weeks I finally plucked up the courage to sort it. From the initial phone call, through to the appointment the service was excellent. So polite and accommodating which certainly put my mind at ease. There wasn’t any rushing during the consultation and I felt very comfortable discussing things. I would seriously recommend this practice as they are always so professional and I’m extremely grateful to be able to access them, the best surgery I’ve ever been to. Thank you!

We’ve been so thankful for this practice since moving to it a number of years ago. The care we have received as a family has been outstanding for both routine and urgent care . The whole staff team : receptionists / medical secretary/ Drs / clinical pharmacist/ dispensary team and nurses are brilliant - showing care , compassion and warmth . This week , I again received excellent care for an infection - spoke to the duty Dr on Monday and started antibiotics- and when things worsened on Tuesday - again spoke to the duty Dr, was then reviewed and referred to the surgical team and by Wednesday was being seen by the surgeons for the necessary treatment . In many other practices where people can struggle to be seen - an A&E attendance would have resulted . Again, at short notice by Friday I was able to access a nurse appointment for dressings . To have a GP practice where prompt urgent care can be accessed when needed, with bookable routine appointments also available is such a blessing and it seems that many across the UK do not have such well run and efficient care - we are extremely thankful . We trust that you will keep doing what you are doing so well and hope that the way that you run can be modelled in other places . Thank you

I wanted to check something out and as ever is was easy to find an appointment. The doctor listened carefully and was very thorough in both questioning me and examination. A pragmatic plan was agreed with a follow up appointment scheduled for six weeks and an indication of any further steps to be taken if required. This event was typical of my experience at this practice - easy to deal with and all staff attentive and polite. Excellent care all round.

We can always speak to very helpful receptionist and if deemed necessary a doctor within the hour or an appointment that day.

Having recently visited A&E and felt like I had wasted everyone’s time I contacted my GP who saw me within the hour and took my very symptoms seriously 5*
