Review titled Excellent Service with Care and Compassion
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Christopher O’Brien - Posted on 21 March 2024
Hi, I just wanted to give come positive feedback regarding my recent experience with the practice. I am a fairly new patient with the practice but have been an NHS Critical Care Nurse for 20 years. In my experience people are very quick to complain about their experience but not so great to give positive feedback. My feedback is regarding A****** (Scottish Accent) who works on Reception. I have spoken with her a few times recently with my current ailment and I must say she is so caring, empathetic and I always feel so much better after finishing my phone call. I really do appreciate that might sound bizarre but she really does show compassion and empathy. Considering these ladies must speak to several people per shift and I’m sure some are quite difficult to please to maintain that level of empathy and compassion must be trying at times. She really is a great ambassador for the practice and I really do hope other patients highlight this to yourselves.

Review titled Lovely Receptionist!
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Cornflower - Posted on 11 March 2024
I would just like to leave a review for the receptionist at this surgery. A lady with a Scottish accent. It’s very reassuring to hear such a genuine and positively warm and friendly voice when calling which is not something that I have experienced before but makes such a difference. Thank you.

Review titled Helpful and cheerful
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had to sort out three things, blood test, flu jabs and get info regarding COVID boosters. Everything was sorted quickly with appointments on the same day and the advice re COVID proved accurate. The person I dealt with was chatty and efficient and made the process enjoyable. Hats off to the front desk and those who answer the phones and deal with queries. Brilliant!

Review titled Lack of empathy
Rated 2 stars out of 5

The doctors and nurses are great when you get to see or speak to them but the receptionist that I spoke to today when I was feeling very unwell with an ongoing condition couldn’t have been any less helpful or sarcastic if she tried. I felt numb after the call.

Review titled Amazing Care Navigator Experience!
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Kirstie Richardson - Posted on 10 July 2023
I had the most wonderful experience when speaking to a Care Navigator today (10/07/2023) @ 2pm. I was phoning for a telephone appointment with my doctor. The Care Navigator kindly informed me that earliest appointment would be the first week of August, but if I felt that my issues became worse, I could phone again to see if any other appointments had become available. Less than an hour later the same Care Navigator phoned me back to let me know an earlier appointment had become available and would I like to move my appointment. This Care Navigator is a shining example of what it is to be professional, kind, understanding and diligent. The Care Navigator went above and beyond, I could not be more thankful! I hope this gets back to the wonderful individual who helped me today 😊

Review titled Staff need training
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 June 2023
The reception staff were rude to us today when we called to get my dad booked in after being told by 111 last night they needed to see him today and they would send a note to get it sorted. we called and they said someone would ring us back which they did. the said they wouldn’t see dad today as not an emergency. he is having problems breathing along with other symptoms. when we said he needed to be seen and we would go to Banbury hospital the response well if u go u go!! Is this constructive? No. Is this empathetic? No. The staff need retraining as I have seen in previous reviews this is a reoccurring problem. Its not difficult just be kind and remember the people on the phone are anxious and in pain.

Review titled Cannot get a GP appointment within six weeks
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 April 2023
I've asked for an appointment because of a debilitating illness but the so-called 'care' navigators deemed this "not an emergency" and could not offer an appointment within six weeks. There was a complete lack of empathy offered and I felt as if I really do not matter and am not welcome.
