I am taking prescribed medication that requires regular blood testing (every 3 months), and I have tried to book blood tests but they only offer blood tests about a month after you request one. Not only this but I have waited for ≈2-3weeks after my bloods were done (usually they take 1-2weeks) before going to ask if they have been done, only to be told they took my blood and didn't do anything with it. I was then told I need to rebook another blood test (another month for it to happen and then waiting 1-2 weeks for it to be done). This process wastes about 2-3months of time, and since I need my bloods tested every 3 months, I am unsure of my blood level and health while taking my medication. This is extremely unsafe and unacceptable. My bloods are also supposed to be taken on specific days because of trough levels, but you don't get any choice of when your test is.

During my GP appointment, the GP who I had not met before, listened to my symptoms, cared about my concerns and actioned everything raised during the consultation. I was prescribed medication which I received within an hour of the appointment and the referral that I had been waiting months for arrived in the post within the week.

I was seen and treated very promptly after filling in the online request to see a doctor. I was treated with great dignity by the doctor and provided with information and advice about what would happen next. Thank you .

I had a GP consultation recently in regards to a heart problem that I have developed. I really appreciated the GP's recognition that I could understand the test results and be involved in decision-making around the choice of medications. I also appreciated that I was not made to feel rushed, even though the Doctor was clearly super busy.

Filling the on-line form in at about 7am has twice resulted in the past few days in a phone call offering me an appt with a doctor that morning. The appt was on time and the electronic prescription to my chemist meant I could pick up the meds straight away. It was easy and convenient - and the consultations with the doctors were very pleasant as well.

I am type 2 diabetic and they have increasing made it difficult for you to see your doctor and want you to see someone new every time. Blood test appointment took 2 months and to get a phone call appointment was near 2 months after to discuss bloods. What if I need changing medication is 2 months really viable? Why can’t you get any appointments for your own doctor. Only on the day absolutely ridiculous system where they make it really difficult for you to visit your own GP

The appointment was on time and very productive. The follow up phone conversation with the pharmacist was very informative and extremely efficient and helpful. Everything was explained clearly and organised extremely efficiently

I emailed on 29th Oct about a matter I beleived was urgent and received a same day appointment. Thee Nurse practitioner who saw me was very helpful and I was able to have an xray the next day. I was impressed with the service and thought the new appointment system was excellent. I am someone who can use technology and have access to email and a smart phone. I hope the new system is accessible for people who do not have access to technology due to poverty.

Review titled It is almost impossible to get through to even make an appointment

I have been trying for 0ver 1 month to get an appointment with a GP to discuss my deteriorating mental health. I have experienced repeated episodes of calling the practice and being at least number 10 in the queue and then being referred to the website. When I have been to the website the get help from a GP function that would allow me to make a GP appointment, has been repeatedly 'closed for the day' due to the practice being busy. When I have clicked on the 'self refer for mental health issues' link as an alternative offer, it puts out an error code out, so that option is not available. 24 days ago, I finally managed to access the website when the 'get help function' was still open for the day. I requested an appointment with a GP regarding my mental health. I received an appointment for today, 23 September. I have waited patiently for 24 days for this appointment. When I arrived at the practice, I was seen by an advanced practitioner, who said they couldn't help me and confirmed that I needed a GP appointment. I had originally requested a GP appointment and not an AP appointment. So I have left the practice, having still not been seen or advised on how I can get help and I have no GP appointment. I feel totally lost. I currently have no clear pathway to access care through my GP.
