    I emailed on 29th Oct about a matter I beleived was urgent and received a same day appointment. Thee Nurse practitioner who saw me was very helpful and I was able to have an xray the next day. I was impressed with the service and thought the new appointment system was excellent. I am someone who can use technology and have access to email and a smart phone. I hope the new system is accessible for people who do not have access to technology due to poverty.

  2. Review titled It is almost impossible to get through to even make an appointment

    I have been trying for 0ver 1 month to get an appointment with a GP to discuss my deteriorating mental health. I have experienced repeated episodes of calling the practice and being at least number 10 in the queue and then being referred to the website. When I have been to the website the get help from a GP function that would allow me to make a GP appointment, has been repeatedly 'closed for the day' due to the practice being busy. When I have clicked on the 'self refer for mental health issues' link as an alternative offer, it puts out an error code out, so that option is not available. 24 days ago, I finally managed to access the website when the 'get help function' was still open for the day. I requested an appointment with a GP regarding my mental health. I received an appointment for today, 23 September. I have waited patiently for 24 days for this appointment. When I arrived at the practice, I was seen by an advanced practitioner, who said they couldn't help me and confirmed that I needed a GP appointment. I had originally requested a GP appointment and not an AP appointment. So I have left the practice, having still not been seen or advised on how I can get help and I have no GP appointment. I feel totally lost. I currently have no clear pathway to access care through my GP.

    I've had numerous positive experiences at this practice. Since introducing the online contact form for medical issues, I've received medical advice and prescriptions promptly without the need to make an appointment on occasions. This frees up both my time and the GP's and has been really convenient. During appointments with different GPs at this practice, I have found them all to be friendly, sympathetic, knowledgeable and received prompt care.

    Too many people too quick to judge their GP's. I visited recently and was very happy with Dr . She explained everything and referred me for a scan. Staff very helpful on reception.

    Although I have had difficulties getting appointments. New system worked well today. I had a very detailed and helpful appt with Dr and a follow up call quickly for confirmation of next steps. Thank you.

    No organisation between staff, they refused me a appointment 2 days after having surgery, i called at 8am and they requested to fill in a form instead. When requesting additional medication post surgery on the form i been told to take paracetamol instead rather than what the hospital prescribed.. used the centre once in years of being registered, having to call 4 times just to be told that doctors have finished for the day. Avoid if you care about your health.

    I am registered with this practice from last one year. I noticed that they need to improve the service regarding on the appointment process. Email or phone call both are not good. It is too complicated to get an appointment or contact to the doctor. I am struggling to get a blood test for my child. It should not be a waiting time 2 months to get an appointment or test. For this reason few times we ignored our problems and not to give a call to get a help. Sometimes we feel to change the surgery to get a quick help. However, when I get an appointment doctor’s are excellent! I feel they are very helpful every time. Thank you very much! I would like to request the Practice manager, please read the review and try to solve this problems. Please give us opportunity to get an appointment when needed. As a parent I feel helpless for this service for my children. Hope it will improve soon! Thanks!

    Used the online form in mid September to try and make an appointment to see a Doctor following a rheumatology appointment at Manchester Royal. I received a reply a couple of later telling me that Doctor's clinics hadn't been added to their appointment system, and to try again in mid October! Totally unacceptable to have to wait four weeks just to attempt to make an appointment, let alone actually get to see a Doctor.
