  1. Review titled Someone who listens

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Michelle Robinson - Posted on 16 December 2024

I saw a gentleman this morning. I know he is a clinical practitioner for this surgery. At my appointment his morning and on a previous phone call he took the time to listen to me answer my questions and he is a credit to your surgery. All too often we complain and I wanted to share today my positive involvement with him. He takes the time to really listen to what you are asking and saying and I haven't felt rushed or made to feel like I was wasting his time. He is a credit to your organisation

  2. Review titled Probably like every other gps but what would I know?

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have been going to this surgery several times a year for the past 10 years with worsening symptoms. I feel like my time is being wasted, tax payers money is being wasted and I feel guilty for clogging up the system with routine visits. I have ordered private blood tests and found out more that has been wrong with me than I have had assistance from the gps. I have figured more out about myself through the internet and ordering private blood tests on hunches which I have presented to the surgery, had repeated blood tests done, and had a few things diagnosed. Now I am on tablets however I do not think that they are giving me the correct dosage. After a&g from the endo I have been told to repeat a blood test 12 months from now however, symptoms persist and other things should be looked into and examined but they were not offered so again I have to chase things up... and again spend another £100-300 on private blood tests so I can prove something is wrong and that it needs looking at. It's frustrating really and I don't think it is that hard to follow a logical thread regarding health, to ask the right questions and actually listen to what I have to say! There is something seriously wrong, I cannot figure out how to fix it. Maybe there is some gatekeeping going on. Maybe it's gps have a lack of experience and are out of ideas. I'm not sure. All I know is that I'm exhausted and in pain and I feel helpless

  3. Review titled Not what I expected

Rated 3 stars out of 5

The nurse I visited was not over friendly.......I have visited more approachable nurses. A visit is stress full enough and being relaxed in he company of a stranger i.e. a Doctor or nurse makes a comfortable visit. would re training help ?
