  1. Review titled Pre-NHS doctors

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Dave - Posted on 12 September 2024

Can only get appointments at 8am each day, you have to que outside to get an appointment on the day don't bother phoning. You cannot book appointments in advance with this GP, they push online services but these do not work either. Refusing to issue prescription that was sent by diabetic specialist for me will not give a reason either, will not give me an appointment for a blood test that was also requested aswell. Avoid at all costs, it's better to go to urgent care/walk-in centres or a pharmacy, at least there you will be seen. The NHS should be investigating this group for severe failure of services to the community and patients.

  2. Review titled Worst in the Uk

Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried time after time to get appointments always the same no appointment available, spend up to an hour on hold ,not fit for purpose, even trying to get emergency supplies of essential medication takes 2 or 3 days. Since covid this whole practice has been totally useless. If I could rate it lower than 1 I would do

  3. Review titled Avoid

Recently I have been in extreme pain and I tried booking with the gp and was told no appointments when I was only 7th in the que at 8am, to find out there give people booking because there quing outside before there open. Which isn't fair on the people who are told to call from 8am. My pain led me to be in a&e over the time of 2 days in extreme pain to finally the hospital to help me. Which the gp could of help if people was able to book. It's letting alot of people down. And for the receptionist no compassion. I tried to explain why I needed an appointment to get I dont care what's wrong. Absolutely degusting.

  4. Review titled Terrible Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Stephen Brigden - Posted on 23 February 2024

My wife had ordered two repeat prescriptions several days ago, one of which is a strong painkiller. When going to pick up the medications from the pharmacy it became apparent that only one item had been put through at the Doctors. My wife is now in a hell of a lot of pain because the practice failed to issue the prescription for the pain medication. When contacting the practice to explain their mistake they showed no apology for their mistake and told my wife it would be at least 48 hours before the medication would available. No apology or empathy offered from the ignorant receptionist.

  6. Review titled Appointment system is outdated

Rated 1 star out of 5

The appointment system is outdated and dangerous after trying to get a appointment for 3 weeks solid every morning at 8am. You can never get an appointment you are passed over to walk in centres which are struggling even more then the our own gp services. and can’t provide you with the things you need. So you’re always going back and forth. I ended up in a&e recently because my condition got worse and turned into a Medical Emergency because I could not access my gp. I’ve been told I need a follow up appointment after been in hospital with my gp to discuss a care plan and update medication. And still can’t get an appointment so my condition is ongoing the surgery booking system needs an overhaul. 24 Day’s trying to get an appointment. And counting I understand the NHS is under pressure but having 1 doctor for thousands of patients is wrong. We was told that merging the doctors with chp would give us more appointments. But since the merger it’s impossible to get an appointment.

  7. Review titled Not supportive. No person centered care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 June 2023

I have been trying to book an appointment to get a mole checked out. I have rung several times to be told there is no such thing as booking appointments anymore and I have to call at 8am in a morning, which is fine if you can guarantee that if I take the day off work to call at 8am you can fit me in that day but there is no guarantee of this. Surely the surgery does not run on spontaneous appointments? Where is the person centered care? Surely you have a duty of care to all of your patients and if you know they require an appointment to book one in. The surgery have no urgency and would rather all of their patients access a walk in centre.

  8. Review titled Like banging your head against a brickwall

Rated 1 star out of 5

Third day of trying and failing to get an appointment 20 plus minutes wait at 8.0'clock opening...6 and ninth in the queue....no appointments available and prebooking appointments is no longer practice policy. Basically you have thousands of patients all scrambling at 8 am for an handful of appointments The lottery as better odds!

  9. Review titled Very poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Cal Jackson - Posted on 05 December 2022

My wife has a lot of underlying problems, diabetes, among several other problems, she rang the surgery today before eight o'clock when the surgery opens, and rang constantly until she got through to be told on an automated phone message she was number 12 in the queue, she eventually got through to a human being to be told there was no appointments available and she would ask a doctor to see if he could prescribe some antibiotics for her problem, has there was no telephone appointments either, we were sat at home later the same morning and a doctor rang, the wife explained the problem she had and the doctor prescribed some antibiotics, but according to the receptionist there was no appointments available, the receptionists should be told by the practice manager to at least be honest to the patients, we could so easily have gone to a pop in centre and missed the phone call, my wife and myself are both registered disabled and have not been able to get a routine appointment for a long time due to the receptionist saying that there is none available, yet I was talking to another patient at the same surgery and they said they get appointment whenever they want one, seems to me that the receptionists have their favourites and they get in whenever they want

  10. Review titled awful

i have a chest infection which has left me unable to get out of bed and i live alone. i was told to visit the walk in centre as i couldn’t get an appointment for two weeks. don’t know how i’m supposed to visit a walk in centre when i’m too sick to leave the house and the cat doesn’t drive. i also asked when my review for my new medication was due and this had been booked for october 2023 rather than october 2022. if you enjoy completely useless, unhelpful, uncaring and inadequate doctors and receptionists then this is the place for you!
