  1. Review titled Treatment ?

It has taken over 2 months to get a blood test and ecg appointment referral for a 48 hour holster, despite a letter from Bart’s hospital suggesting this. In the end, i went to get my bloods done privately. But can’t get feed back from the GP on these! E consult is a totally inefficient service which covers’ the doctor’s liabilities but fails to provide proper meaningful contact with patients. I work full time, so not to have an appointment for the call back, does not work. Over the 2+ months i have been in person to the reception to book an appointment, you can’t do that! Have done e consult several times , either no response or when the gp did respond, i had 2 calls followed up with ‘ i tried calling you’ texts whilst I was in a meeting, in the space of 1 hour. And then the whole charade starts again…. do an e consult form…. I have felt very ill and overwhelmed by my condition and it has been made worse by the frustration and ineffectiveness of City Road Medical ( based in London ec1v to make it perfectly clear, so they can’t obfuscate my feedback to Birmingham) This is Gate Keeping to basic nhs services which I have a right to access and cannot. I still feel very unwell, i don’t know what is wrong with me. I don’t want to burden A&E as that’s where GP’s now want fob off their responsibility to - as they cannot offer simple, basic care and referrals effectively. Very frustrating and disappointing, i shall have to seek an alternative way as this is an impasse that I cannot seem to penetrate and is making my condition worse.

  2. Review titled Bad reception staff very rude

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Whomever I spoke to at reception was very rude and impatient. I have issues regarding very important medicine and she was so unhelpful. It was like I was bothering her and she just didn't want to be dealing with anything outside of what she could be bothered to do. The doctors are good mostly. I only had 2 bad ones in the years I have been a client here. One wasn't there long and the other diagnosed bruising for what turned out to be osteoarthritis of the knee. But this receptionist, who ever she is needs to be in corporate and not the NHS.

  4. Review titled DR telephone consultation was awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a telephone consultation with concern about perimenopause symptoms returning after current treatment not working.(been on them for 2 years with no follow ups) Dr was hard to hear because they were using speaker phone. Not friendly or reassuring at any time. I had to push for specialist referral due to their careless demeanour.

  5. Review titled Terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

Foot infection unable to get an appointment except for 2 weeks time . Receptionist not empathic and very very rude . I am shocked at the level of service which is terrible. They really do not care about patients at this surgery . I had an appointment last week as I was recovering from an assault I had to wait over 45 minutes once I’m the surgery and I saw no patients leaving after being seen I had to get up and ask the surgery was the doctor in that day . I was going to complain then about the waiting times but I didn’t . The week thing is they don’t care if you complain they encourage it as long as they are not held accountable . This is exactly what’s wrong with the health service no accountability when something goes wrong and a death occurs . I cannot walk to the walk in so I’m just going to sit here and if it turns gangrous then so be it because nobody cares . Appalling service the surgery should be closed down and as soon as I can get another doctor I will be registering with another surgery . Not that they care . Receptionists are very inexperienced and blasé it really is not a way to run a surgery

Review titled City Road Medical Centre

Dear Mandy, thank you for your review. Please can I check that you are complaining about the right City Road Medical Centre? We are in London, and we have a total triage service, which means that patients are dealt with on the day by our GPs and clinicians. Happy to discuss this if you are complaining about us, however, if it is City Road Medical Centre in Birmingham, please can you delete it and direct it to them. Many thanks, Cathrine, Practice Manager
