  1. Review titled Frustration

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Clive Richardson - Posted on 02 March 2025

On Jan 19 2025, I tried to make an appointment to see a GP about an ongoing knee problem using the Anima app as instructed by the surgery. After a lot of frustration with the app, I was given an appointment for 20 Feb. This was to see a physio not a GP as requested. That's a wait of one month. I was then told that this appointment had to be cancelled and rearranged for 13 March. The appointment was cancelled yet again and rescheduled for 20 March. That's two months. I don't think that's acceptable. I also have frustrations with ordering repeat prescriptions from the surgery via the NHS app. Medication is often missing from the available list or simply not included when sent to my pharmacy despite a request being made. Either the apps are not fit for purpose or the management of the surgery needs to take a long, hard look at their systems and practices.

Dear Clive We are very sorry that your appointment needed to be rearranged, there are numerous reasons why this is sometimes necessary, and it is something we try hard to avoid. We are aware that some patients are frustrated by our change to an online total triage system, however this system is demonstrably improving access to medical support and ensuring that patients are seen in order of medical urgency rather than the ‘telephone lottery’ and feel this is a definite improvement. Medication requests are more accurately made via the NHS app, NHS App and your NHS account - NHS. Ordering this way will help the patient, staff and Pharmacy ensure that the correct medication is ordered accurately and in a timely manner. We would urge patients to order repeat medications in this way wherever possible. Finally, we have regular Patient Participation group (PPG) meetings, see your practice website for details, these are a great opportunity for patients to discuss concerns and issues with our practice management team and better understand why these changes are implemented. PPG meetings are open to all patients at their registered practice. Michael Lyall Senior Project Manager

  2. Review titled Treated like a family

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kate - Posted on 20 June 2024

i have been with this practice for 10ish years and cannot remember a bad visit. It already feels like second home and i am confident that if i ever need help i will get professional, decent and rational attitude. I would like to mention that i recently met a female doctor that haven't seen previoisly. I've met her twice and was taken seriously on each occasion. She is very understanding, calm and explains things well and ensures agreed plan is actioned. Suffering with bipolar means times to times anxiety kicks in and I turn into pretty frequent patient, but was never greeted with annoyance or anger. Thank you for your patience, total dedication and for being you!

  3. Review titled Great doctors, but not all receptionists

Rated 2 stars out of 5

The doctors I've seen in surgery are absolutely amazing. Especially lady ones i So understanding and very professional. But some of the reception staff I'm scared to talk to as I know i will get attitude of I don't care! I've spoken about this to one of the managers and she was absolutely fantastic, and she managed to sort my query. It's a shame, that some of the staff are not helpful at all.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's wonderful to hear that you've had positive interactions with the doctors, especially noting their professionalism and understanding. It's also great that the manager was able to address your concerns effectively. However, I am sorry to hear about the negative experiences you have had with some of the reception staff. Your feedback is valuable, and it's important for all staff members to provide a supportive and caring environment. Hopefully, with continued feedback and communication, improvements can be made to ensure everyone feels comfortable and respected. Lucie Moore Operations Manager
