We were waiting for an hour which isn’t great for a pregnant woman but also the midwife wasn’t very polite and was caught gossiping by myself about me when I left my appointment because we were left alone for over ten minutes with no explanation after her being incredibly rude in the appointment.

Dear patient All feedback is important to us and we take it very seriously. The midwife service at CG is a third party service that we have little control over. However, this is no excuse for any issues that impact our patients. This matter is being discussed with the partners at CG and they’re working on a resolve. I visited College Green medical centre for a routine smear test, never a pleasant experience, but the nurse helped me to relax and she made the procedure quick and painless

I saw a clinician who conducted my annual review. She was excellent, very helpful and reassuring. She checked my blood pressure and went through my medication with me.

I've used v-Consult 3 times now and found it really helpful and effective. After a worrying fainting episode I could put the details in my own words and get a quick doctor's appointment and appropriate tests/referral scheduled. When the problem got worse I could update symptoms on v-Consult and was called in for an electrocardiograph with excellent Doctor's Assistant (a newish profession) and then have it interpreted within an hour by a Doctor with the advice I needed. The electronic records system with which I remember being developed some years ago was brilliant. It pulled up an electrocardiograph for comparison done four years ago in an ambulance outside the wonderful Walk-In Centre in Katie Rd which I'd forgotten all about. NHS and staff under a lot of pressure but good to see this system and team working so well.

Hi David Thank you for leaving such a detailed, positive review of CG. As you say, using the V consult is a great way of securing an appointment and updating the GP if your symptoms do change. It’s not for everyone and we are fully aware of that, and for that reason we will always be available by phone or in person to anyone that needs us. Good practice but never seen at allocated time! Always over half an hour wait one time it was almost an hour! Frustrating as if I was late I wouldn’t be seen. Also frustrating as I may have another appointment elsewhere and it messes up any plans I have. I work and the long wait is not acceptable

Dear patient Thank you for your feedback and 5 star rating. I am sorry to read that you are frustrated at not been seen on the allocated time. We do understand how it can be frustrating for patients when a GP clinic is running late for what ever reason. The GP has a set time in which to see each patient, as you can imagine, some medical issues are much more complicated that others. Other issues can and do arise daily, such a medical emergency, a GP calling in sick, a GP having to cover another clinic as well as their own, the list goes on, but please be assured that no GP ever wants to keep their patient waiting intentionally. Having said all the above, I understand this does not help you and I will bring your concern up with the practice manager. I went to the health centre for a diabetic review. The GP assistant was really nice and friendly but wasn't signed off to do the whole diabetic review, I now have to make another appointment to visit the centre to have the rest done. I would thought it would have been better for a nurse who had the signed off skills to see me instead. I'm not blaming the the GP assistant at all, she did a great job. This health centre has certainly not got the same service as it was at granton medical centre. Such a shame.
