  1. Review titled Excellent Doctor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Amy G - Posted on 29 October 2024

The Doctor I saw today was excellent, and she really set my mind at rest. She was kind and respectful of my privacy and I felt completely at ease with her even though I’d never met her before. Thank you so much she was a credit to you all.

  2. Review titled No longer a great practice

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 April 2024

I have read the reviews from previous reviewers, and agree with the most part, but it has improved recently. However not enough. I have repeat prescription every month, but it's like starting from scratch each month. I put my request in 2 weeks previous, and once it has come through to pharmaself with no issues. For a least 12 months before it had to either be on request from pharmacy on the day I ran out, or it had just gone in the machine on the day I ran out. I kept hoping that this would not happen but accepted it probably would. In no way do I blame the staff, they were stuck in an impossible situation: too many patients to deal with trying to use a old system. All this has been updated in the last few months, but no drastic improvement as yet. This month I saw my gp ( yes my designated gp!) and she prescribed an increase in dosage on one of my medications, however this was just before Easter.....I ran out of this, the crucial one and received the other which I hadn't run out of, but by then the surgery had closed for Easter. So I had to miss a dose which caused me to be unwell .... I know it's not their fault but it's not our fault either.... I hope things improve but we don't have a choice of which surgery we go to, and all have their difficulties. It is the general state of the nhs sadly you can't rely on them....Most of us can't afford to go privately but I can see in the future it will come to that.....please no.

  3. Review titled Great prescription service!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Gordon Bagnall - Posted on 13 April 2024

We are going on holiday next week and realised we did not have enough medication for both of us to see the week out! Spoke to Pharmacist on this week on Monday morning asking if it was possible to have our prescriptions by Friday to take on holiday on the following Monday. We got a whats app message on Thursday saying both were ready! Very efficient service and very appreciative of the service received!

  4. Review titled Dispensary great, doctors great,

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 April 2024

This surgery has improved massively since last year- the doctors are very helpful and precise, reception do not take that long to answer phones anymore. Dispensary is great, I am fond of one person in particular who’s name begins with L (purple hair) - when I first got served by her, I was quite frustrated, she took her time sorting out my queries and ever since then she’ll always come out and say hello whenever she knows I’m there. If I am particularly stuck with a query I always ask for her to help me as my before query was solved by her quickly. The others are very helpful too. I know there has been lots of staff changes recently as recently there has been a few new faces at the surgery, everyone is always polite and kind.

  5. Review titled A Complete Shambles

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 February 2024

Having made my third trip to try to pick up my monthly prescription from the dispensary this month and still left being owed a refund on the incorrectly charged prescription charge because none of the staff in the dispensary know how to process a refund (if only the staff member who advised me that I had to go in to the surgery today to get my refund had been aware of that), I feel I must share the appalling service that I have received from the dispensary. It is completely disorganised, communication is terrible and that is before you take in to account their inability to organise having the medication available (in my case, despite it being the same medication at the same time every 28 days). Surely somebody can take hold of the processes and systems and communicate properly to patients. Also somebody ensuring that there is somebody on duty who can process all of the transactions necessary for the operation of the dispensary. Never mind having decent processes in place to ensure that patients are not randomly charged for prescriptions by the "Phamaself" machine when they have been managing to receive prescriptions using a prepaid certificate for the previous 10 months. The positive: The poor lady at the dispensary who had not been trained to operate the card machine fully (and did not have any cash on the premises to get around this) was very polite and apologetic. I felt so sorry for her.

  6. Review titled Excellent pharmacy

Rated 4 stars out of 5

    by A.G - Posted on 31 January 2024

The person who served me was really helpful and extremely kind, friendly, polite and caring, thank you, she is a real credit to you all. My medication was all there and I didn’t have to wait as she handed it straight to me. Well done to all of you the pharmacy has improved greatly. Keep up the excellent work and thank you to all of you.

Dear Patient Thank you for your kind words and feedback. Your review has been passed on to the staff. It is good to hear when patients have a good or excellent experience as a result of the improvements we have made and continue to make. It inspires us to work harder for our patients. Kind regards Michelle Myers Practice Manager

  7. Review titled Kind friendly staff, but pharmacy a shambles.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

    by A.G - Posted on 19 October 2023

The person I saw at the pharmacy was really polite and kind and genuinely caring, a real credit to you all. However only one box of my medication was in stock and none of my medicine. My medication is on a managed repeat and the staff have a month to make sure my medication is in stock. I’m not supposed to stop taking my tablets without being told to do so by a doctor! Often my medication is not in stock or not ready and I’ve been told we can give you a prescription to take elsewhere, I cannot drive and so cannot easily obtain my medication elsewhere! It keeps happening to me over and over again, and to others. It could have very dangerous consequences for people. Please sort it out. Thank you.

  8. Review titled Awful service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 October 2023

Over the past few years the service here has declined massively. The pharmacy service is so slow and disorganised that you have to assume you'll be there for 30 minutes to collect a prescription and need to give them 2 weeks notice to get the items in. The reception staff are very unfriendly and unhelpful, especially since everyone is having to change their nhs app because the practice has changed computer system. Definitely wouldn't recommend this practice.

  9. Review titled Poor Pharmacy

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 September 2023

The service has been appalling for 18+ months. Need to queue for 40mins to be told repeat prescription is not ready. To then wait 30mins, again to be told not all stock in and need to come back. Keep getting told short staffed, but this is due to poor salaries and very very poor GP management. Who could not run a children’s birthday party. This service needs the QCC to do a in-depth review. I collect my father in laws medicines weekly which means I waste over 50 hours of my life waiting in line for a poor provided service.

  10. Review titled poor example of a GP practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 May 2023

Recently had to change GP practice. Moved from excellent surgery to somewhere that is a complete disgrace. Extremely difficult to get through on phone lines. Emails unanswered - even when marked for the attention of Practice Manager. Trying to obtain repeat prescription - very hard work. Extremely worried about my family being under the care of this practice.
