    Told me he had only been working there a few months, i had mentioned that i was pregnant and he assumed i wanted to get rid of it, proceeded to tell me that whatever option i chose they were both as bad as eachother. Which i came to get advice or a referral not to feel as if im getting judged. While i was there he kept mentioning his previous patient and that she was very poorly and he had to leave my appointment for a few minutes to deal with something to do with his previous patient. When i told him i was pregnant and told him my age he looked at my friend and pulled a face then even admitted he “doesn’t know what he’s doing.”

    I only have praise for this practice, staff courteous and kind and go out of their way to accommodate appointments I was in to see the doctor and needed referral which I got an appointment at the hospital before I left the surgery

    Good morning, I rang my GP at 09:31am 02/04/2024 to try to arrange an appointment on the 12th April due to work commitments. I spoke with a receptionist to be told 'With today being Tuesday, you can only book for Tuesdays up to two weeks in advance' I asked about things inbetween due to the 12th being within two weeks to be told 'No those appointments will only open on that day so you'll have to ring at half 8 that day or half 8 everyday to try and get an appointment' I asked why is this the case to be told 'It's the rules of the practice' and again asked why to be told 'It just is' which really isn't a acceptable response. I then mentioned that I spoke to someone a few weeks ago who offered getting me an appointment at a different practice (your own website states this is possible) to be told 'I don't follow you' so I explained again and she responded with 'No we can't do that, we can't book appointments at other GPs' I then asked to speak to the practice manager, I was then put on a short hold for another lady to come on the phone (I don't think she gave her name) who asked me 'Hi, receptionist had to leave the office, what seems to be the problem?' I told this lady that the problem is I need an appointment and that I was distressed that I can only book for a Tuesday up to two weeks in advance due to today being Tuesday and nothing inbetween. This lady said to me 'You can if there are appointments available' so I asked about Friday 12th April to be told 'There are no appointments on that day' which is fine, just why didn't I get told thix instead of providing misinformation? I asked when the next appointment is to be told Wednesday that week, I asked to book it to then be told 'Oh we don't have any appointments on that day' so again, why tell me that there is? I then asked 'Are you the practice manager?' to be told 'No' so this made me more distressed so I said 'I've asked to speak to the practice manager so please get them to call me today' to be told 'She's very busy in meetings' so I said again 'I expect a call today from the practice manager to discuss things because I am very distressed right now' to once again be told 'She's very busy in meetings'. Now I get the practice manager gets busy, but if a patient is asking for a callback due to them being distressed to discuss things with the practice manager, then this should not be so easily shrugged off by being told 'She's busy all day in meetings'. I understand it's been no more than an hour since I called but I feel like my details won't be passed on and that I'll be forgotten about so this is why I have taken to this website to leave a review as I have seen the practice manager responding to other patients. I find this mornings service to be incredibly poor and extremly worrying that the receptionists don't know the actual services the office provides aswell as the manner in which they speak to patients

We offer various types of appointments available to patients: E-consults, Extended Access appointments (6-8pm from Monday - Friday, weekend appointments and bank holidays), pre-bookable appointments, same day appointments. We also have acute clinics Monday-Thursday with our ANP. If you haven't got the online access service to book appointments and/or order prescriptions, you can complete a form, and book appointments online 24/7. Kind Regards Emma Ferguson- Practice Manager

    As you can see I left a poor review below this after a poor experience with the receptionists. The practice manager got back to me and we had a great 20 minute conversation in which she was kind, caring and empathetic, what you'd expect from anyone working from the nhs. After a good discussion she managed to get me an appointment with a gp as well as an emt. This lady is amazing, I cannot praise her enough for her service today! Thank you so much!

    I am extremely happy with the practice and would recommend the surgery . I got a same day appointment greeted by polite receptionists and my little girl even got a colouring pack to keep her entertained whilst waiting to be seen doctor

    I have really bad anxiety and the reception staff themselves put me off making doctors appointments when I need one. They are so rude, and condescending. One person tried to tell me I do not have a condition I have been diagnosed with! How would they know, they are not the doctor! They speak to you like you are a little kid as well. One doctor in particular they do not listen to you. One time they kept acting like I was exaggerating my symptoms. When I finally managed to get an appointment with the other doctor they referred me and when I was seen by a specialist they told me I actually had a condition causing all this and they were shocked at how unprofessional the doctor had been. I was in pain for a whole year because this doctor just thought I was making it all up. I’m actively searching to switch doctors now, which is a shame as one doctor is actually really good, you can just never get an appointment with them.

    My wife went to see doctor about her thyroid disease and was approved a new medication, roll on 6 days and GP still hasn't signed it off after we tried to pick the medication up from pharmacy , very unprofessional, it's not as if she has a slight cold , my wife has a very serious condition, absolute joke!!

  8. Review titled Bad dr

     A dr in this practice is a terrible dr, talks over the top of you, speaks so fast it’s hard to understand, doesn’t listen to you, gives you bad or incorrect information, gets confused & tells you different things ever time you visit. Don’t register here if you want a great dr (other dr’s in this practice aren’t bad dr’s, just this dr) but you can’t pick who to see in this practice. Some of admin staff can be very rude as well & like gatekeepers to the doctors, which shouldn’t happen
