  1. Review titled Poorly run Surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by frank - Posted on 23 April 2024

Unable to get a face to face appointment, told to go to the pharmacy by the receptionist, the pharmacy advise they can do little to help me. I understand services are stretched everywhere however its very annoying when the surgery is still registering new patients when they can not service the ones they already have.

  2. Review titled A Thorough and Caring Doctor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Robert Hylands - Posted on 03 March 2024

I rang the practice as I had a painful, swollen leg and foot. My doctor saw me the same morning and did a thorough examination including a Wells test; although this did not score too high, my doctor was concerned at the possibility of a DVT so rang UHCW and got me an appointment with the DVT Team the same afternoon. This was fortuitous as it turned out I had 2 DVTs and these are now being treated so I am especially grateful for my doctor's thoroughness and attention to my situation.

  3. Review titled enlarged prostate

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Over time my ability to urinate gradually reduced. I presented myself to the surgery when pain became present and fluid flow was progressing to zero. The GP's knew my prostate had enlarged and I was in pain. I was asked to go to several tests ,the latest being Sep 27th a wait of 8 days I was prescribed 3 drugs whose effect was to act as a laxative. Zero effect on pain and urine flow. I presented myself to University Hospital where an insert was placed in my bladder and more than 1 litre of fluid emerged. The pain has disappeared and I can get a reasonable amount of sleep.

  4. Review titled Friendly & Professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I cannot fault this facility. It is easy to get through on the telephone and I have always been treated with respect from the reception staff. Getting an appointment has never been a problem and if you need to be seen urgently an appointment will be made the same day. Both myself and my disabled son have had cause to see the nurse recently and we have been put at ease straight away. Our concerns have been listened to and our treatments have been timely and appropriate. The doctors are professional, thorough and kind. I cannot fault Copsewood Medical Centre and I am grateful for all the staff that work here.
