Thankyou for seeing my mum so quickly and taking into consideration her current health concern. We was seen promptly and isolated to prevent any further impact. The doctor was cheerful, polite and took the time to listen. He explained thoroughly with compassion and advice support. The staff at Corby Community urgent care hospital are an amazing team who deserve more recognition. Well done Corby Community, we are lucky to have you.

Review titled Great service out of hours.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 24 November 2024
An extremely busy day and understandably a lot of waiting. Triage nurse was a little bit stressed I think (even though it was only 10am) she hardly let me speak. Doctor was great and I left with antibiotics which helped my recovery without having to wait over the weekend before seeing my GP. The receptionist when I booked in for quite firmly tell me I should have contacted my GP the day before which made me feel like I was abusing this service. I haven't used this service in over 10 years. I didn't go into detail about my health at the reception desk and why I need to monitor my condition but I didn't think it was her place to tell me this in a queue.

super efficient, helpful staff. checkd in triaged, seen by medical staff, straight to pharmacy (really friendly and efficient), antibiotics given and heading back home in less than an hour. Attended at 7pm too. Luckily have never had to use this service before and was pleasantly surprised how well run it is.

Review titled Very fast care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 16 July 2024
Excellent care. We were second in queue having arrived to queue at 7:30am. Triaged very quickly and assessed by a doctor and given medication- all in an exceptionally quick time. A very smooth experience. One slight thing I would say is that doing patient blood pressure in the waiting room, in front of the queue of people seems to go against patient privacy and isn’t great for a relaxed BP reading. Whilst most people probably don’t mind, the screens being used weren’t concealing the patient at all and for some, having a queue of people watching them have their BP taken, could increase the BP even more. The BP nurse would be better situated away from the main desk if the screens cannot screen off the patient having the procedure. For patients who for example might be autistic or who don’t like procedures, a busy reception is not the best place for doing Obs.

Good Morning, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are so pleased you experienced excellent care, and found it to be a smooth experience overall. I understand the feedback around our observation station at the front desk. These observations are optional, and we have improved the signage of this to ensure all patients are aware they have the choice to consent or decline. As you mentioned, our waiting area can become very busy and we use the observation station to allow us to identify any particularly unwell patients to expedite their urgent assessment and treatment. It also enables us to keep an eye on those in the waiting room in case there is any worsening in a patients presentation. I have passed your feedback on to our leadership team for consideration. If you wish to get in touch to discuss this further, please do contact us on 01536 20 21 21, or email us on cucc@onemedicalgroup.co.uk Thank you again for taking the time to leave feedback, it is very important to us. Review titled X-ray
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by M. Tyler - Posted on 27 June 2024
My husband had an X-ray which claimed there was no fracture to his right hip/buttock area. Still in severe pain and unable to walk more than a few paces 7 weeks later. However a colonography, coincidentally, revealed an acute fracture to the right side of the pubic bone which should have been picked up on our visit to urgent care. Very disappointing that a thorough examination didn’t occur.

Review titled Poor hygiene
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2024
Absolutely shocking. I visited recently and there was no soap provided at all in the toilet everyone is expected to use!! None of the hand gels work. Is it any wonder illness spread the way they do. Disgusting, especially when hand hygiene is so strongly promoted to prevent the spread of illness.

Review titled Shambles.

My partner just went in now at 10:30am, after leaving a hospital appointment at KGH. She’s been told to go to Corby for a blood test when she gets home today and there was a receptionist with blue hair talking to her, she was disgustingly rude when my partner tried to explain that it’s the hospital that sent her there. These people need to understand not to take their frustrations out on customers as it makes people not have the confidence to come back, it’s disgraceful.

Dear Patient, I'm sorry to read about your partners poor experience, and can understand how this would feel frustrating. I am wondering if it may be a different reception desk you visited, as none of our reception team have blue hair. In any case, if you would like to discuss this further, please contact us on 01536 20 21 21 or email us on cucc@onemedicalgroup.co.uk. Many thanks in advance.

Review titled Outstanding care & treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Linda Holmes - Posted on 16 February 2024
Yesterday I visited the Corby Urgent Care Centre due to an acute health condition. I want to say a massive thank you to the doctor and nurses who cared for me throughout investigations and observations. They made me feel at ease and safe in their care, taking time to listen to my explanation of symptoms and related previously diagnosed conditions. The doctor who treated me was very calm and explained throughly about what tests showed and patiently answered all my questions. I am so pleased to say that 4 antibiotics and 3 anti-sickness tablets later, I feel so much better for the first time in a week. Keep up the great work Team Corby - you are all amazing and really do make a massive difference and are greatly appreciated - very many thanks!
