Review titled Terrible Surgery
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 May 2024
Had an ongoing issue for almost two years. Been referred here there everywhere. Went to a specialist and they said the issue wasn’t even relative to them. And gave me a rough idea of what could be my problem. This is something the gp should have taken more serious action on however did not do the checks required. The appointment booking system is beyond ridiculous calling either am or pm to find they are fully booked every time. They will not allow you to book appts in advance even if you work and are able to call at their specified times. Appointments are then even given at a time they like and not given any movement on times. process/doctors are a mess

Dear patient . I am sorry to hear that you have had a problem which hasnt been easy to diagnoses despite being referred to a specialist. Sometimes GPs need to refer on if they dont have the expertise or knowledge of a problem. Our appointment system has now been upgraded since our new clinical system upgrade so we hope you have now found access easier and better ? Each GP has a ceratin amount of pre-bookable appointments upto a 2 week period. Once they have all gone , then we revert back to same day appointments which can be offered at the Surgery or at the St Marks hub. We also have econsults available for things that are less urgent which are available every day . If you still are encountering problems , then please contact our Practice Manger Diane Parrott who will be pleased to try and help you

Review titled Poor service

Don't know how they run things ... for 4 days been ringing soon as the surgery opens ,get put in a queue for 40. Minutes to 1.1/2 hours only to be told we don't have any appointments . Horrible service so frustrating. On top of that had the receptionist say I can't give you an appointment if you don't tell me what's wrong with you... so I tell her what's wrong and then she tells me we don't have any appointments. Aghhh ! So why ask what's wrong with me.

Dear Patient My apologies in the lateness of responding . Since your comments we have changed our phone system and also have further additional appointments available at St Marks as locally all Practices are working together as part of a Primary Care Network. Appointments are constantly under review and we can now offer future bookable appointments as well as same day/telephone consults /econsults and all the other services available at St Marks . The reason why we ask you of the problem is that we also have physio, pharmacy and mental health practitioner appointments so we just want to ensure you are being seen by the right person . If you wish to get in touch to discuss please contact our Practice Manager Diane Parrott, thankyou
