Came for COVID and Flu jabs and had an issue with a medication I was booked in same afternoon and all sorted. No need to be off for another appointment. They are always happy to help.

Absolutely appalling service, the practice manager just fobs you off and claims they're helping you when actually they have done nothing of the sort. I completed a repeat prescription request on the practice website, when i then contacted the practice the following day to confirm all had been received ok i was told they had nothing. I was advised by the practice that i needed to call the pharmacy, the pharmacy do not order medication on patient behalf anymore. I called the practice back and was told i needed to go to my pharmacy the following evening and see if the medication had arrived even though they had no request on their system to issue the prescription. Despite being aware of this the practice manager told me i shouldnt call back the following day and claimed she was trying to help me when actually she had done absolutely zero to help. Its no wonder the practice review page is full of one star reviews given the absolutely shocking service they provide.

  3. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called today, managed to get a call back from a clinician who tried to help but needed to speak to a doctor. She called back with information about increasing medication. I was given a phone number for the pain management clinic because apparently he is still under them even though we have had no contact with them since 2021. So I ring the clinic. No we are not under them so call back the doctors for a referral. So I did, I get a receptionist who is no help whatsoever and tells me to call tomorrow for another appointment. Just past from pillar to post all the time. I have a disabled husband in chronic pain. I haven't called this practice for probably 12 months and was hoping things had improved. Well no it hasn't. So my husband is at his witts end talking now of ending his life because he can't see the point carrying on. Coseley medical centre can't even be bothered to see him and no I will not be amending my review like they asked me to last time it's about time they take these situations seriously. I will be Changing my doctors ASAP because this practice as no care for vulnerable disabled people. Shame on you Coseley medical centre.

  4. Review titled Shocking service

I visited the surgery back in November and was advised I needed to be referred to a specialist. I was advised I would receive a letter through the post regarding this referral . Which arrived 3 weeks later with no contact information. I was advised on the letter if I hadn’t heard anything by end of January to contact my GP . I gave them an extra couple of weeks and by middle of feb still hadn’t heard back so I visited my dr again as my symptoms has escalated. I was them advised by my GP to chase the specialist I asked for contact details and was given Russell’s hall number . Upon calling this number I was advised they hadn’t received my referral instead it looked like I’d been passed to a private healthcare company but it didn’t say who . So then I had to call the surgery again they couldn’t see in my notes who I’d been referred to so the secretary would call me back that day . No call back so I’ve had to chase again and been advised my call back should be in next few days. Not impressed as it’s lack of information from the surgery in the first place

  5. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Called the doctors was 5th in the queue. After finally getting through I spoke to receptionist regarding medication order for my husband. I ordered on the new NHS app 2 items. When I checked only 1 item was approved I had to add a item that wasn't on the repeat prescription. Because I'm not psychic I did not know if the second item was approved. The receptionist tried her best to help me but said she didn't know herself how it works. My argument was, do I have to phone everytime I order to see if the extra items are approved or just take pot luck that they are at the nominated chemist? Why can't the medication be put on the repeat? Seems simple to me. Then I can see and wouldn't have to bother wasting my time and their's. I've had 3 messages from the surgery this morning and one says use nhs the other says use patient access . The mind boggles. No wonder the practice only has 2 and half star rating. I rang a couple of weeks ago with a lumpy pimple in the corner of my eye. Was told to go to walk in centre. I still have the pimple and its bigger ,but sit in urgent care with something so trivial. Another time recently I was told to ring 111. What a utter waste of time. I give up.

So, I wrote a review yesterday regarding problems with repeat medication. Today I had a call from the manager at the practice. She is trying to rectify the problem now and she said I can speak to her to rectify problems in the future ( thats if you can ever get through on the phone),I appreciate the call back and also the promise of adding the medication to the repeat prescription. It's just sad that you have to write a review to get anything done.

  7. Review titled what has happened!

Rated 1 star out of 5

We all know that times have changed at practices, but! This practice used to have 3 partners, it is now being run by 1 doctor, with most proberly a larger case load. I am middle aged and I am struggling to cope with this general no patient contact system of health care. No face to face I even had to chase why I had been referred to renal without being informed why. I work for the nhs and I am ashamed of this practice. The crux of the matter is not enough staff, I applaud the use of nurse practitioners, but this practice to deliver the right amount of care, needs a better patient, staff ratio. I do not need a comment back from this review I want action for the patients of Coseley. I am afraid the post code lottery is evident, my family live in Sedgley their practice is wonderful. I am urging the manager of this Surgery to address qualified staffing issues.

  8. Review titled Staff rude and referral not send until after 2 months

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Petronela Darabana - Posted on 04 October 2022

I had a phone appointment with one of the clinicians beginning of August, following the appointment she will send a referral out for Gynecology and I should receive the letter through the post. 2 months later I chase the referral but it wasn't sent. The receptionist was talking to me like I have disturb her and was unclear about what should I expect regarding my referral, put the phone down. I had to call back so I can get clear information, receptionist didn't ask again for date of birth or name. In a very annoyed and rude manner she said that she will write a message to clinician and I should wait. NHS has zero tolerance for abuse towards staff. What about if staff is rude towards patients ,where can we go if not even the GP can be a safe place anymore. Waiting 2 months for a referral o be sent, then wait 6-8 months on the waiting list. If someone has cancer 6-8 months might be to late.

  9. Review titled Unprofessional

The surgery is near on uncontactable. When you are first in the Queue you get disconnected. Then you end up waiting 30 mins approx to get through sometimes it goes that long you just get disconnected again. And when you do get through the receptionist is basically the most rude person you could ever come across. My daughter has additional needs and you cannot even see a doctor you’re making us go down the avenue of hospital visits to be seen it should not be this difficult in 2022 to see a doctor. Standard of service are appalling and failing to meet basic needs of people in the area it needs addressing

  10. Review titled Negligant

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 August 2022

Called surgery for my 89 year old mother with severe dementia. (1 hour in queue, then cut off. Had to call again another 45 mins in queue) She had a pain in her side. She is not unwell and was still using the toilet etc. Suspected a water infection or artheritis flare up. Didn't even get a phone appointment, had the receptionist call me back to relay a message from the clinician. Was told I need to take my mother to a&e. I said I only want someone to check her urine for a water infection. I already had the bottles and could drop them in later. Was told they couldn't do this as she wasnt passing urine. I explained 3 times to both receptionist and eventually the clinician that she was passing urine and that I just suspected a water infection from where the pain was located so can someone please check her urine to rule this out instead of me sitting in a&e for hours with an in pain, elderly, dementia patient. After speaking to the clinician and asking for the urine test several times i was told that the surgery were refusing to do a urine test because the clinician already recommend a&e. Absolutely disgusting service. Leaving a vulnerable patient in pain, when a simple urine test that would take 5 minutes of someone's time is all that was needed. I agreed to take my mother to A&E if the urine test came back clear. Was still refused service. After 2 hours I received a text message saying sorry you have missed your appointment an ambulance has been arranged for you. What an absolute waste of resources.

Thank you for taking the time to add your review. I am unable to discuss the details of this case. However, I would like to state that your review is factually incorrect. The details you gave to our reception staff raised RED flags and you were advised to take your mother to A/E. You refused and the receptionists contacted the clinician for advice. The clinicians advice was the same. We do not leave Vulnerable patients without care. We even requested the ambulance as you did not want to.
