I was able to make an appointment to discuss HRT with a women's health nurse who was very informative, efficient and helpful.

Review titled New paitent
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Leonard P - Posted on 06 September 2023
Without a doubt this practice is not fit for purpose. Trying to get a appointment to see anyone with a medical qaulifacation is i believe almost immossible. When i spoke to the reception explaining that A i had a problem and i needed to see a Doctor and B the so called easy booking app was beyond my capabilities i was told I should go to a walk in centre. Today I phoned at 10am to try a get an appointment. Told to phone 111. Do not join this practice. My wife and I will be looking for new Doctors after we have had our flu jabs .

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you have been unable to gain access when needed. We would advise that currently all areas of the health service have capacity issues and demand is often more than we can safely provide. It is of course your choice if you want to move Practice.

I found it was easy in using the booking in method ,the info displayed informed me of waiting room I needed , how long I was likely to wait, how many people were in front of me . Nurse was friendly and very polite, what more could I ask for .

Review titled A positive, thoughtful approach to my telephone consultation.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Gaynor L - Posted on 18 September 2023
Back in about the early to middle of August, i suffered what could only be described as a summer cold. About a week ago, every so often i felt that although my cough part of the cold had cleared up, my throat would feel dry and tickly from time to time. For that reason, i was concerned about the reason that i had been left with this dry and tickly throat. The doctor suggested that i give the concern about 4 weeks to see if my throat settled and cleared up. Also, the doctor mentioned that an x ray that i had done, whilst in hospital in june, showed that my chest was clear! The doctor said that in 4 weeks time, if my throat was still dry and tickly to phone the receptionist at the surgery and ask to pass a message to the doctor that i spoke to in this telephone consultation.

Review titled My recent experience (written on behalf of my mother)
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 September 2023
My mother (who is 86 and not in the best of health and a bit unsteady at times) visited the Chemist to pick up her medication only to be told they hadn't received a script - so she went to the surgery and was informed that she wasn't on the system. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing the tablets were sorted. Her next prescription for enalapril required review by the pharmacist and an appt was made for a telcon on 5 Sept at which time my mother explained to the pharmacist that she hadn't had her annual check up and was concerned as she'd been told she wasn't on the practice system. The pharmacist arranged for her to have a blood test - didn't say what it was for - just to attend the surgery - she went to the surgery explained that an appt had been made for a blood test and for her to have her blood pressure taken and a flu jab - the surgery didn't know anything about the request but did take blood - but could not do flu jab until 15 Sept and also told her to go to the chemist to have blood pressure taken (Pharmacy was busy so they were unamused but did it). I have since gone online to look at test results - most are within range and no further action required - Serum Ferritin however was well outside range and it says patient informed - no further action. My mother hasn't been informed.

Was taken by surprise when inquiring at reception as did not expect Covid and Flu jabs to be carried out on a walk in basis. A short wait and all done very quickly plus MMR as well. Thank you very well done.
