  1. Review titled Worst experience of life

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 January 2023

Referred for X-ray to diagnose something. First, the form was not ready for 2-3 days, which I checked by going in-person and calling a few times. Finally, the X-ray was done with the referral, now it has been more than two weeks waiting to hear anything on it. Called GP regularly just to hear that report has not arrived yet. And, was advised to get an appointment so the doctor can chase for the report. Another pain to get appointment, you will be like 40 or 45 in the queue and when connected after about 1 hour, you are told that there is no appointment. I don't see any point for such a GP to exist who can never look for any problems or diagnose in time.

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. I apologise for the problems you have encountered with your x-ray referral and obtaining the result of your x-ray. There is an option on our website to ‘ask the practice a question,’ if you would like to use this one of our Clinical PA’s would be able to chase the x-ray result and if necessary, book a GP appointment with you to discuss the result. Please accept my apologies for the distress this has caused you. Please contact the surgery directly if you would like to discuss this matter further. 2. Review titled GP fine - reception staff insensitive and poor

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 January 2023

A simple task of picking up a form and a pot was made more difficult by the woman on reception. A second member of staff easily found the form and sample pot...I was forced to tell the whole surgery it was for a sperm sample and then she made a number of wrong assumptions with no knowledge basis. My confidentiality was compromised and she was giving false information after I had a very good and productive discussion with the GP previous to xmas. Shame and easily remedied with more sensitivity and better questions to the patient.

  3. Review titled Appointment system/ call handling is dire.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 January 2023

You can be waiting for 40 minutes and longer and then just get cut off. Very time consuming to attempt to get an appointment. Sometimes the queue is so long it just kicks you out of the queue altogether.

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. I apologise for the problems you have encountered with the phone system cutting you off. This can be investigated if you give me a call with your phone number and date of your call. The phone system allows 50 callers to queue at one time, this only usually happens at 8am and with up to 10 staff answering the phones the queue goes down very quickly, you need to redial until you get into the caller queue. Once this has happened you are kept up to date of the position you are at until your call is answered. I hope this information has been helpful and thank you once again for your feedback. Please contact the surgery directly if you would like to discuss this matter further. Kind Regards Tracey Rowles Practice Manager Creffield Medical Centre

Dear Mr Thompson Thank you for your feedback and the chance this gives the practice to improve our services. I am very sorry that you received a car park fine after using the Creffield Medical Centre car park. The cameras were installed in December 2021 to stop people using the car park that were not attending the surgery. This was a major problem for our patients who had trouble finding a car park space and were often late for appointments. Since the installation of the cameras, we have seen a dramatic improvement and patients can park easily when they come for their appointments. If you use the car park to attend the surgery, all we ask is that on each visit you enter your car registration number, if this is not done correctly there is an appeal process you can use with CPM (UK Car Park Management) details are available on the parking charge notice you have received, the surgery would be happy to show evidence of your appointment to help support your appeal. Using a car park management company is the only option we had to ensure that the car park is available to our patients when they need it most. I apologise for the inconvenience caused to you but this was not our intent. We put this in place to offer our patients a better experience. I would be happy to discuss with you further if you thought this would be helpful. Kind Regards Tracey Rowles Practice Manager Creffield Medical Centre

  5. Review titled Good GP Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Penny (Penelope) Nicholls - Posted on 14 November 2022

Creffield Medical Centre have provided us with a very good service. The GPs we have seen recently have listened carefully to our concerns and taken appropriate action. I have never felt rushed or felt my views have been overlooked. The nursing teams including phlebotomy have been helpful and reassuring. The reception staff, who do not have an easy job, are help and supportive. It can be frustrating to get through on the phone especially in the morning but the queue system which has been in place for some time is a great improvement and with patience has allowed us to get through to the surgery in a reasonable time. On such occasions we have been able to see a doctor or at least talk to a doctor on the phone on the day. On the whole, given the difficult circumstances the NHS finds itself in at the present time we feel the Practice provides a good service.

Dear Penny Thank you for your feedback. I am so pleased that you are happy with the very good service you have received from the Creffield Medical Centre, including GPs, nursing, and reception teams. I understand it is frustrating to get through on the phone at 8am but we continue to monitor the queue system and on average patients do not usually wait longer than 20 minutes even if they are number 50 in the queue. There are usually lots of appointments on the day and a Duty Doctor is available if all the appointments have been taken and you feel your problem is urgent and cannot wait until the next day. We are working in exceptional circumstances and always do our best to see as many patients as possible (that it is safe to do so) each day. Thank you once again for taking the time to post your feedback on this website and your thanks will be passed on to all staff. Kind Regards Tracey Rowles Practice Manager Creffield Medical Centre

  6. Review titled Beware of getting a parking fine

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Colin Ainslie - Posted on 17 October 2022

My wife and I are not patients of the Creffield Medical Centre. We attended the pharmacy for Covid vaccinations in 2021 and 2022.On both occasions the service we received was excellant. However on the second occasion I received a parking fine of £60 soon to be increased to £100 because I am appealing.I was parked for 17 mins of which most of the time was spent outside in a queue social distancing. There was no signage indicating that I was not allowed to park in one of 30+ empty spots at the back of the building. Having received the fine I retrospectively looked on the website for guidance to find that a new process had been put in place after our first jab.Visitors are now required to advise reception of car number plates.I didnt see any notices on site telling me to do this. There may have been a notice in reception but people having Covid jabs do not go through reception and are processed outside the building prior to going into a treatment room in the pharmacy. I think your car packing operators are behaving in a very shoddy manner exploiting the Covid pandemic for financial gain. They have already used a largely automated system to reject my appeal. If there is a process in place, reasonable steps need to be taken to advise visitor.Partlicularly new visitors such as myself. I am writing this mainly to stop other visitors getting caught out.

Dear Colin Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry that you received a car park fine after using the Creffield Medical Centre Car Park. The Covid vaccination clinic was at the Cavalry Road Pharmacy which is not part of the surgery. The car park registration system was discussed at our Patient Group Meeting on 26th November, the minutes of this meeting can be found on our website. There has been a message informing all patients of the changes to the car park system on the Creffield Medical Centre Website, this was published in advance of the start date of 15th December 2021. The signage was installed in the car park at least one month before the start date of 15th December. There are signs on all ten 10 lamp posts plus two more signs as you enter the car park. There are also signs in the pharmacy to inform patients they cannot use the Surgery Car Park. The car park cameras were installed to stop people using the Creffield Medical Centre car park that are not using the surgery. Our patients had trouble finding a space to park and were often late for appointments, this has not been the case since the cameras were installed. If a patient attends the surgery for an appointment and receives a fine this can be appealed. I would like to think that the pharmacy staff make all of their customers aware of the car park system in place to avoid this happening to other visitors. I'm sorry I cannot be any more helpful in this situation. Kind Regards Tracey Rowles Practice Manager Creffield Medical Centre
