Mum had an eye test in April, was told needed to get referred to hospital about a problem. The opticians emailed referral to Dr's at Crewkerne. Opticians got confirmation email saying they received it. Mum still waiting, so in August, I contact opticians, told to contact surgery, get told they not received the referral email. Opticians send another one, they get another email confirming they received it. I chase it up by contacting the practice again, they got it. Opticians send me the referral email to send to practice, again they get confirmation from the surgery, but when I go up to enquire again, they say no, they not received it. I contact Yeovil hospital they not got referral either, go up again, resend my email again whilst talking to receptionist who confirms I had sent it to correct email address, but cannot look to see if it's got there at that moment in time as she isn't going to be looking at emails that day! Apparently chasing it up again, they still confirm they received the referral, but not doing anything about it, if they are confirming it's been sent, they should be sending it to Dr to be referred. Mum's still waiting unable to see because she needs to go hospital but can't because Dr's surgery can't seem to find the 4 emails we have all sent. Good job mum doesn't have cancer! The delay in processing your referral was due to a temporary staffing shortage at the Documents Management Hub, which has caused delays in handling all incoming requests. Currently, they are prioritising urgent cases. We have escalated this issue to their management team to help prevent similar delays in the future. After a consultation about back pain, I was sent a message with a link to a pdf leaflet for self-referral to physiotherapy. The leaflet contained an appointment telephone number which was two years out if date.

Today I used Anima for the first time and so far not impressed. Despite suffering from very painful what I believe to be gastro-enteritis no one has contacted me regarding any sort of relief or treatment. I'm not sure whether I should continue to suffer or re-submit my condition again and hope for better luck...

Phoned for an appointment and was told somebody would phone me back either the same day or the next. 18:30 got a call from the doctor concerned that I had not turned up for the appointment, I said no-one had telephoned me back. He was very helpful over the phone and said about an appointment the next day. Near to lunch time I went in to ask about yesterday. Was told nobody would have called me as they were all in a training meeting. The woman suggested I write in and complain if I wasn't happy. I then asked about the appointment made that day. One had not been made. No help or suggestion as to how to get one, just the same suggestion to put in a complaint. Dreadful uncaring service from front staff.

Receptionist rude and upset everyone in the queue at 5pm weds 29th. You can tell she didn’t want to be there. One patient shouted saying she was being accused of being in the wrong and the other was told off for walking in with elderly relative. Not helpful.

Following the launch of our new online patient platform, Anima, we initially experienced a significant increase in call volume, handling over 1,000 calls a day. This surge directly impacted our telephone waiting times. However, call volume has since reduced as more of our patients are now using Anima. If you haven't registered yet, please visit our website to sign up. Anima allows you to submit medical and administrative requests Monday to Friday from 6 am. All requests are reviewed and triaged daily by our Duty Doctor, and suitable appointments are offered based on the care plan developed. Thank you for your understanding and patience. a very poor response from my surgery this morning. A dr wrote to me requesting that I arrange for a consultation regarding my recent blood tests which showed a significantly high hba1c . I phoned for appointment and was promised a return call. A text came 5x hours later, message read ....Dr (anonymous') says only routine appointment necessary and no 'routine' appointments are currently available until new system put in place at end of April. !? There was no Drs name nor was there a senders name ? ...completely anonymous text so that it would be impossible to query or follow up... disgraceful ! I have type 2 Diabetes, Secondary Hypothyroidism . large Pituitary tumour, Hypertension, 'significant risk' of a Cardio Vascular event and lots of other chronic conditions . I've paid into the NHS through Paye for 50+ years and this is how you get treated when you are in your 70's and most in need of that Nhs health support. !? ps apparently no capital letters permitted ??

Rude staff wait weeks to get anything done. Can wait up to 7 hours to get through on the phone online system doesn’t work either urgent stuff takes weeks to deal with

Seen by physio on 22nd excellant he told me to see dr for stronger meds to help me sleep for the recovery of my damaged knee as the paracetamol and ibuprofen are not strong enough. requesed a call back on phone on 22nd no call back , requested a call back again on 23rd said they would put in a request that day.Monday29th still no action / perscription plus no help or advice what to do next. Looked online Anima servicessays still waiting to be actioned and I am still not sleeping and in pain. Tried phoning other lines all busy need to call back. This is not a complaint of any individual but the system of online requests.

I was beginning to experience troubling side effects with my medications and phoned the surgery. The receptionist understood the urgency and got a doctor to call me within a few hours who was also very understanding and communicative. A new treatment plan was arranged between us and I felt so much better, especially as I had felt listened to by both the receptionist and the doctor.
