  1. Review titled Amazing nurse!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have recently had a nurse’s appointment at the surgery for a routine procedure, however this nurse took the time to discuss further issues going on and went out of their way to help. I was made to feel comfortable during a potentially Uncomfortable appointment, and I cannot thank this nurse enough for this. The world needs for nurses like them!

Dear Patient Thank you for your kind feedback. Our staff work extremely hard to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible and so it is very rewarding for staff to hear that they helped a patient and made them feel at ease. I have fed your feedback to our Nurse Team and the wider practice team and we all thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Yours sincerely Jessica Edwards Human Resources and Personnel Development Manager

  2. Review titled Very responsive and great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My 90 year old Grandma was unwell over Christmas. I emailed the GP Surgery at 11.15am requesting a GP review. A GP called me at 11.50am and arranged a home visit for 1pm to my Grandma. He communicated brilliantly and was very supportive and reassuring. His swift actions potentially reduced the risk of a hospital admission. Thank you

Dear Patient Thank you for your positive feedback when requesting a GP review for your Grandma. Our staff work extremely hard to ensure that patients are seen by the most appropriate member of the team and within a reasonable time frame with the information they receive. I will pass your kind words on to the rest of the team at our next staff general meeting, I know they will be very appreciative of the feedback. We hope that your Grandma is recovering well and thank you for taking the time to submit a review. Yours sincerely Jessica Edwards Human Resources and Personnel Development Manager

  3. Review titled Discrimination

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mr Taylor - Posted on 13 August 2022

I attended Crownhouse Surgery this week with my partner to have our babies 16 week vaccination. We were asked to put a mask on but I advised we were exempt and then we were asked to wait outside of the doors to the surgery on the seats at the top of the stairs. The receptionist who asked us to wear a mask was not wearing one, someone else in the waiting room didn't have a mask on and someone in a clinic room also didn't have a mask on and yet we were excluded to sit outside of the waiting room like second class citizens so people can walk past and judge us for being exempt from wearing a mask. Can you please explain to me why your surgery feels it's okay to discriminate against a family taking their baby to get vaccinated? Especially when the very person discriminating against us isn't wearing a mask

Dear Mr Taylor, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that you felt discriminated against, this was certainly not our intention. Our priority is keeping both patients and staff safe. We are unable to respond to your comments about someone else in the waiting room not wearing a face covering without knowing the detail. Please be reassured that all visitors to the practice are encouraged to wear a face covering. To be more welcoming and help with communication at reception staff are not required to wear a face mask as we have erected screens. However, once they go to leave the reception desk staff are required to put on a face mask. Clinicians working alone in their rooms do not require to wear a face mask. However, when consulting with a patient the clinician will complete a risk assessment to ensure that both the patient and they are safe before making any decision to remove face coverings. Since your feedback the guidance has been updated and become more relaxed and as a result have updated our policy. We continue to encourage the wearing of face coverings in our clinical areas. However, if a patient does feel vulnerable when visiting the practice, we put other measures in place and patients can in such circumstances have a telephone conversation or wait in their vehicle and the clinician will telephone them to let them know when they are ready to see them and do not need to wait in the waiting room. I hope you feel we have addressed your concerns but if you do wish to discuss anything further, please do contact the surgery directly either by telephoning 01777 703672 or via our generic email nnicb-bassetlaw.c84035@nhs.net.
