I would like to say thanks to the Doctor I saw for his being very thorough today as I was given a phone consultation for this morning but after explaining my symptoms he immediately said come to the surgery now. Fortunately my/his concerns were answered at this appointment and I was also able to discuss another matter that has been worrying me, of which he addressed in a very competent, professional manner. I would also like to add that the reception staff have always been very helpful whenever I have to phone.

I had the pleasure of visiting Dr ks at Crown Street Surgery today and I cannot praise their services and expertise enough. For the last 10 years they provide an excellent service for my family and myself, especially Dr ks, who always greets with warmth and professionalism like majority of staff in the clinic, she needs to give training to other practices as I never had such a positive experience even in top private clinics. Dr ks not only demonstrated deep knowledge and expertise in her field but also took time to listen attentively to my concerns. Her genuine care and empathy were evident throughout the consultation, making me feel valued and understood as a patient. Moreover the service in the pharmacy next door to Crown street surgery is outstanding my medication was not in the pharmacy and the gentleman working there run to another pharmacy to get it within min of finding that the medication is not available. This is an outstanding service which goes beyond any expectations. The clinic itself is well maintained creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. Staff is also welcoming and efficient further enhancing the overall experience. In summary, my experience with Crown Street Surgery surpassed all expectations and I would recommend them to anyone in need of exceptional medical care. Their professionalism, expertise and genuine commitment to patient well being make them a true asset to the healthcare community. Thank you dr ks for your outstanding service and dedication.

Positive Feedback I would just like to record my thanks for the incredible service my toddler and I receive from Crown Street Surgery practice. They are all truly marvellous, especially the doctors we have encountered. Sadly, with some of my underlying health conditions I have and the health journey my little one has been through, we have probably experienced every area of service within Crown Street from the district nursing team, doctors, surgery nurses and as important the exceptional reception team. I could easily feel quite embarrassed attending the surgery so much due to my system and related illnesses, but I am never made feel like a burden to the team. At all levels they are kind, supportive, understanding, extremely professional but also have a laugh and a joke which I find puts my child and I at ease. Lastly, I have multiple long-term conditions which is extremely traumatic especially the way my health deteriorated but again the warmth and compassion from the Crown Street Surgery team has been so important to me. When people are complaining about the NHS, I only have praise for this team. Regards Maria

Yesterday 7th May 2024, I had a telephone consultation (at my request). All of the staff from receptionist right through to the doctor treated my concerns with respect and I felt listened to. All of my concerns and questions were answered clearly.

Great surgery, with a fantastic appointment system. I had a specific issue where there was a miscommunication between a hospital department, myself and the surgery. I phoned for an on the day telephone appointment and the admin guy I spoke to was very helpful and kind. He arranged for the doctor to call me, even providing a specific time frame. The doctor then called within the time frame given, and when I spoke to him, he was quick to offer a resolution and helped to calm me down as I was very upset by the whole situation. He also offered me other options for further treatment. In the main, the doctors are approachable, empathetic, understanding and really helpful. Reception team are helpful and patient, and will do what they can within their remit to help. The nursing team are highly skilled, offering a variety of services. I've been with the practice 27 years so have seen a large number of changes, but it's currently running as good as ever. I recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new surgery and feel safe in the knowledge that I and my whole family are registered here.

I needed an emergency appointment today around 5pm. The receptionist I spoke with (I wish I took his name) was ever so helpful and pleasant to talk to. He explained the process and assured me that a doctor would call. And a doctor called within 20 minutes and he offered to see me straightaway. I am so impressed by how the doctor listened to me and how he explained the possible causes of my problems. He arranged further tests and referrals. He asked some very interesting questions and he went way beyond just prescribing some medicine. I left the surgery feeling in good hands.

Contacting the surgery go an appointment is so stressful and has been for a very long time. Calling on the dot at 8am to see a GP is like a lottery, I was caller 36 today . I dread calling and often just don’t bother when I am ill. I need to see a GP to check if my treatment has worked but I can’t get to see the same GP or even get an appointment. GPs are really hit and miss in respect to their ‘bedside manner’. I’ve been made to feel really stupid and like a malingerers or really respected and ‘heard’. I have a neurodivergent condition which is not going to go away and the whole process causes great anxiety. I dread the day I am really unwell.

I tried to book a non urgent appointment within the next few weeks. There was not even one available. Not a single one. I didn’t actually know what to say to person on reception as if service is not provided it is not fit for purpose.
