I recently had a test at a local hospital and was awaiting the result. A few days later I was due to take a few days holiday abroad, and I had to inform my travel insurance company that I was awaiting test results. They told me I had to obtain a letter from my doctor confirming I was fit for travel, in order to comply with their conditions. I explained this to the staff at Valley View Medical Centre, Goffs Oak and they could not have been more helpful. I was told there was only one doctor available and that she had to fit this request into her busy schedule. Despite this, and the request being made at short notice the doctor and the support staff showed the utmost sympathy for my plight and produced the letter the same day. I was treated with care and consideration throughout. This is typical of the way my husband and I are treated by this practice whenever we need help, and we are so grateful for their support and professionalism in recent months, during what has been a very stressful period for us.

The doctor we saw provides an exemplary service & always with such a cheery disposition. She is so very thorough in ensuring that all necessary tests were carried out & medication review to ensure the optimum health outcomes. Never made us feel rushed in any of the visits made & leaves the patient feeling that they're in the very best hands. Reception staff have also been so very helpful on calls. Thank you so much - would thoroughly recommend.

I have recently taken over medical issues for my elderly parents. This practice is outstanding in its patient care. It is a long wait to get through on the telephone which is usual for any GP practice but the staff cannot do enough to help, including reception, pharmacist, nurses and doctors. My dad in particular has many major health issues and I am so greatful for the care received from everyone at this practice. Thank you to all involved a great team effort.

I went to the Menopause clinic it was really well organised and very interesting.A problem was picked up on my chat with dr after clinic .I hadn’t even got home and hospital were ringing me to book me in for scan .My problem was sorted so quick with Dr ringing me and getting plans in place to help the process go smooth . The receptionists are always so helpful and get you in a the drop of a hat . My elderly mum is treated as a priority and when I ring there is no question we are in that day . Her meds are always ready and her regular blood tests are organised by doctor and prescription ready on results .We as a whole family couldn’t wish for a better service including my children and husband . I highly recommend this practice .

I spoke with Dimple on a few occasions and she was always very professional and caring. I felt like I was listened to and understood and never once rushed. It was a very good experience and arguably the best I have had when speaking with a healthcare professional

Phoned results on 2nd March 2023 & held on for 20 minutes only to be cut off. Tried contacting general enquiries to find out what’s happening in the results dept, held on for another 20 minutes and just gave up. Doesn’t seem an acceptable service to me

In the past I have felt that the surgery fell below acceptable standards even prior to covid and as a result reluctant to seek medical attention, however in the past month I have noticed a significant improvement/difference and would have no hesitation to contact and seek medical attention. I attribute the improvement to new initiatives I.e. getting texts for results to tests, appointments have been more available and Drs that listen to the patient and facilitate appropriate urgent action. Thank you
