  1. Review titled Awful Practice Management

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 September 2024

This practice seems to just be a "money factory" for the owners. They advertise that they are still accepting new patients, but cannot cope with the volume of patients they already have. I had an appointment today which was booked over five weeks ago. On arrival at the Greenwood surgery I signed in using the tablet on the wall and was instructed to take a seat in the waiting room and wait to be called. After 30 minutes I queried the delay with the receptionist and was told that I had been booked in at St Chads. This was not something I would have done myself, and the booking-in system did not alert me to the fact that there was no appointment logged for me at Greenwood. Today, there are no appointments being offered at Burntwood, just Lichfield, and that is more than five weeks from now on 8th November. Darwin practice seem quite happy to take whatever fees they get from the nhs for having people on their register, but make it virtually impossible for those patients to see a doctor. They send lots of online questionnaires, so they can demonstrate to whoever assesses them that they are proactive regarding patient "care", but it is impossible to see a doctor within an acceptable time frame. Had high hopes for this place when the new facility opened up but they are providing a poor service to the Burntwood community. I have registered with another practice.

  2. Review titled Poor service for new patients

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Highly disappointed with the current level of service regarding appointments and referrals, been waiting on a referal for possible surgery since January 24 and kept being told the referral had been done, 8wks later and they have finally admitted it hasn't been sent despite numerous calls to both the practice and the hospital and being told by the surgery it had been sent, also been told despite my medical issues it's a 5wks wait for a prebooked appointment with a female dr, on the up side if you need an immediate appointment for the same day due to unwell they can gladly give you that but not anything asap for possible life threatening problems

  3. Review titled Fantastic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sarah - Posted on 12 February 2023

I submitted an e-consultation earlier this week, 2 days later I was called up by a lovely lady In reception who had booked me in a face to face appointment with a GP registrar. I was assessed and referred to a consultant on a 2 week wait, by the time I got home after my appointment I had received a text from the medical secretary with my referral appointment already having been set up. The process was really easy and everyone I encountered was lovely. A great practice.
