Went for diabetic review. Was seen on time and nurse was very thorough and clear. Had to see the receptionist before I left the surgery and she was very efficient too. I also had to ring with a date of a previous eye screening and once again it was dealt with very efficiently.

The care and attention from the practice nurse seen today and in the past is fantastic. She's caring and listens. She sees me as a whole not just the reason for the visit. Really put me at ease for my B12. Is very efficient. She chatted at length on a previous visit about outstanding cervical screening which resulted in a very positive appointment to complete it. Thank you, can't speak more highly of her.

I have had appointments with the same HCA 3 times over the last 6 weeks and have to say she has been brilliant. Explained things clearly, gave helpful advice, and liased promptly with GP to ensure I got the correct medication . She also was accomodating when making follow up appointments that fit in with my work days. A very cheerful friendly lady.

Wanted to acknowledge a very positive experience from your customer reception officer on the phone today, he was professional, patient, diligent, informative and knowledgeable. My complex call was handled promptly and dealt with efficiency at Delamere Medical Practice this afternoon. Many thanks, to you and the team, for all your help.

I took my mother to the Delamere practice for the annual review of her medications and overall care conditions at home. The care co-ordinator was very good with her, and read her situation well. Very happy to recommend her - great service!

I received 2 text messages at the same time, 1st one to tell me my GP appointment tomorrow is canceled and has been rescheduled to another for a month later and the 2nd one is a reminder for tomorrow’s appointment. I felt very confused then called the GP to clarify, however, the person handling my call was unhelpful and claimed this is the system problem, I asked if there is any other date for my rescheduled appointment for an injection that I no need to wait for a month. She was very unhelpful and even not willing to check and help And said this is the only date available.

Today I experienced a doctor 'I' for the second time. He has not only reinstated my faith in the NHS but in GPs. A bedside manner reminiscent of the distant past! Palpable grace and etiquette. Efficient and thorough. I'm speechless. Thank you. Other doctors within this practice would welcome training from Dr I including many of the partners. I was going to leave this practice but I will now not be leaving. He should be commended.

I am going on holiday 30th January and submitted a holiday request for medication the previous Monday. The receptionist on 23rd December told me to wait until Friday 27th December and if not delivered to call the surgery. I called the surgery on Friday and they gave me a code, but when I went to get the prescription was told it was for my routine prescription. I went to the surgery and explained what had happened and the receptionist told me to call 111. I do not understand why, when she just needed to explain to the doctor and request the prescription. I did call 111 and was promised that a clinician would call me, but did not receive a call. Now this means that I will be going on holiday without my blood pressure medication. This is unacceptable as all areas that I tried was not helpful. This is not the first time the surgery has told me to call 111, there was another instance when I had hurt my leg and it had become infected, the receptionist told me I couldn't get an appointment for 3 weeks and if urgent to call 111. 111 told me that the GP should have referred me to Trafford Hospital for them to check. After getting a lot of run around, when I went to Trafford, they said that if I didn't come in at that time, it could have been more serious. All the surgery needed to do was to give me some antibiotics. I would not recommend this surgery to anyone.

Where do I start! I’ve been registered with many practices in my lifetime and Delamere is without a doubt the most disorganised, shambles of a practice. I do think I’m alone in this opinion as Google reviews show. 1. It’s impossible to get an appt within a few weeks. I asked for a priority appointment and given one 3 weeks away! 2. No compassion - I asked for a priority appointment as extremely unwell and distressed. Received no communication other than a text message advising of an appointment in 3 weeks time. 3. Lacking relevant info - made an appointment but do not advise who it is with so I then have to fill in yet another form to find this basic information out. Would be so simple for the practice to add this info. 4. Previously I’ve been advised of a face to face appointment but on attending the practice been advised it was a telephone appt. What’s worse is that reception acted like it my mistake!!! Ok for me as I live a few mins from the surgery but I’ve witnessed them doing the same with elderly patients whom cannot easily attend the surgery. No apologies for confusion caused to patients. 5. Online services is next to useless- they’re not fully setup with Patient Access or NHS App. I went into register and they asked for ID - they set me up with NHS. App but then compared to a friends whom could see so much more options like test results. I asked the practice why mine wasn’t there and they made me come into the surgery with ID again before they would enable it. 6. When I made a complaint about being miss prescribed medication it took the practice nearly a year to respond despite multiple chasers. On the reply the doctor did not address my issues properly and just came across as arrogant and out of touch. So far due to my condition I’ve not the energy to take it back on given the practices lack of ownership of the issue. On a positive note two doctors I have seen have been good , Dr Shaikh and Dr Kidane. The hardest bit is trying to get to see them!!
