I was running late, I called the surgery and to my surprise I was the next caller. I let them know I had an appointment but I was late, they advised it was the nurse’s discretion, which I totally understood. I arrived and the lady at the front desk was very helpful and always are in my opinion. They did everything they could and the nurse still saw me. I always see the surgery is busy and all the staff are trying to do their best with all the challenges they are facing. I think they are all doing a great job! And do deal with some rude clients but always handle it in a professional manner.

I attended Delemere Medical Practice Stretford Manchester today (8/09/23) for a routine enquiry. Unfortunately, I encountered a member of staff from reception who was unprofessional, rude and billigerent. Whilst I was in conversation with another staff member, who was polite and helpful. The staff member in question interrupted, shouting over at me to "...move over there" Although upset I complied and moved aside where another patient passed over a document. I then continued in conversation with the other staff member. The staff member in question interrupted for a second time and gestured with their hand in a swotting motion that I move aside. When this matter was brought to their attention, that I found the communication style offensive, abrupt, rude and unprofessional. They retorted "that was my opinion" and continued to interrupt whilst I was speaking. I requested to speak with another staff member. The staff member ignored this request. Distressing experience! Witnessed and noted.

I attended today (8/09/23) for a routine enquiry. Unfortunately, a member of staff from reception was unprofessional, rude and billigerent. Whilst I was in conversation with another staff member, who was polite and helpful. The staff member in question constantly interrupted, shouting over instructions at me to "move over". I acquiesced. The staff member then continued gesturing with their hands that I again move to one side. When this matter was brought to their attention as being offensive, rude and unprofessional. They retorted "that was my opinion" and continued to interrupt whilst I was speaking. I requested to speak with another staff member. The staff member ignored this request. Distressing experience! Witnessed and noted.

I cannot fault in any way the experience I had with this particular appointment from start to finish. I find the online booking system very easy to use and got an online appointment within 2 weeks. The email acknoqledgement was followed by an email that recommended I see a First Contact Practitioner for my issue rather than a GP. I was happy to do this and got a speedy reply back with an appointment and confirmation of what a First Conrltact Practioner can do. This included requesting blood tests, xrays , scans and referral to other services. My appointment was a great experience and very thorough. An xray was requested and 20 minutes after my appointment finished I had already attended Trafford General and had the xray as the electronic system was so efficient and the process so clearly explained to me. I also received a separate email with further information to assist with my issue whilst awaiting the results.

Reception are always rushed off their feet but always provide a brilliant service, call you back when they say they will and are polite and helpful. I feel I am able to be seen in a timely manner. This doctors practice also have a mental health nurse and I wish all other practices had this as seeing them has saved my life. Given me the answers I needed. Felt supported and listened too. Excellent service to have on site. Thank you to everyone at this practice for all you do.

I have had so much help, from reception through to, Nurses and GPs. The staff have all been fantastic and helped me from general enquiries to appointments with the medical staff. Thank you all. Stephanie

I messaged the practice at 8.50am on 13/6/23 via the online appointment system as I needed a priority appointment. I received a message back at 9am confirming an appointment at 11am the same day. I understand that the surgery had had some cancellations that morning however the system worked very well.

All the health professionals I have seen at this practice since I transferred - GPs, Physio, Podiatrist - have all been wonderful. They listen and take the time to explain things properly. However, the appointment system is appalling. I recently spent weeks telephoning trying to rearrange an appointment because I could not access the form at the limited times it's available. After many failed attempts, I ended up holding in a queue for 40 minutes before I could speak with someone. Such a shame because you are treated so well once you are seen and it could be a barrier to accessing good health care for many people.

Rang up saying I was in pain, said no appointments. Got diagnosed and treated elsewhere and rang up again as just need a top up prescription for pain relief. Appointment for 2 weeks time! Does this practice just expect people to be in severe pain for weeks at a time?

I telephoned the practice regarding a couple of queries I had and the person I spoke to was friendly and professional and resolved my questions quickly and to my satisfaction without making me feel a nuisance for calling
