  1. Review titled Would not recommend

Some of the staff are nice and make you feel like a human but some of the doctors I have seen are rude. I had a mole removed 3 months after having a baby and had to come back and get the wound looked at as it was infected and was told I should of come sooner(which I agree) and the doctor said that I was most likely exaggerating the new mole to get it removed as she looked at my notes and saw no concerns to refer me. I was shocked at her response as two weeks later I was told was melanoma. Another time doctors told me to keep feeding my child the same milk which was making her poorly and just give less ounces turns out she has a milk intolerance but took them 6 weeks to think about changing it! And I understand you have to give newborns chance to adjust and what not but this particular doctor was rude in how she came across and made me feel like what I was doing was not up to her textbook standards! And I did complain to the practice to never see her in regards to my children or myself. On a few occasions I've had to ring as the online form has been closed before the time it says it has to get my children checked over for their breathing and have been told there's no appointments. There's more but I'm to stressed to even type it out. I wouldn't recommend this place !

  2. Review titled Great doctor great practice

I was recently diagnosed with anaemia and had an appointment with dr smith who explained that I had to go to an and e to have a transfusion and iron . She explained everything and gave me a letter to take for urgent attention. Since then I have spoken to dr smith and she has reassured me every step of the way about my condition. I owe it to her that I feel so well and feeling confident that if I had a problem she would be there to reassure me. Thank you.

I attended an appointment with the above person thinking I was seeing a doctor - he was kind, understanding, carefully listening and throughly explained the outcome of his actions and intentions for my treatment. Sent through a text with further information for me to access. Along with a few laughs, That made me feel at ease with my concerns. I did not feel rushed in my appointment. So thank you for your patience and professionalism.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sure you are aware that unfortunately the whole of the NHS is under increased pressures and are experiencing a large number of challenges within the whole of the NHS and at the practice. NHS England has commissioned locally provided services to support the practice in seeing patients within the community setting for certain medical problems. The Minor Eye Scheme we believe you are referring too is an excellent service available to see patients with eye conditions that are able to report and refer you back to the practice if this is appropriate. However, we at the Practice take on board your concerns and will endeavour to make responsive changes following the ongoing developments within the NHS to ensure the maximum safety of our patients, and to protect our staff as much as possible to ensure that the NHS can keep working in an effective manner and can continue to provide the best level of care possible. Unfortunately, as this is an anonymous review, we are unable to access your medical records to assess the appropriateness of the request and advice given. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact the practice manager to discuss this further.

  6. Review titled Mixed Experiences

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have had a few mixed experiences with this practice. The doctors are lovely, get an appointment to see the right one and they are amazing, however, getting a face-to-face appointment is impossible. I requested a face-to-face appointment with a specific doctor in the middle of April and got a telephone appointment (as I was told they had no face-to-face appointments left) waited till May for my phone call, 1 week before receptionist rang and told me the doctor I wanted to speak to was available 'this afternoon' if i wanted to move my appointment forward, so i did. Only to be rang by a different doctor, who agreed on the phone that I needed to speak to the one i'd requested. This meant anothet booking of another telephone appointment (because they still had no face-to-face appointments) and another 4 week wait till June when my requested doctor rang me, only for them to say I needed to see you face-to-face. Luckily, they were available at that time and I was, to be able to go straight in and see them. The main issue at the moment (other than no face-to-face appointments) is the mere wait after booking an appointment, it is too long. We've waited 4 weeks for my daughters blood test, for me to cancel it as it turns out she is now on a school trip, to be told, they have no availability for booking another appointment.

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently working hard to review and amend our appointment system to enable patients to have a wider range of appointments, in the hope to improve access. Unfortunately the whole of the NHS is under increased pressures, and we are experiencing a large number of challenges at the practice and the work load of all the staff has increased dramatically. 8. Review titled Worst practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 July 2023

I attended an appointment on the 13th January with the nurse after being referred by occupational health at my work. I handed over a form given to me by occupational health to be completed by the doctor. I was told by the nurse that a doctor would have to fill in the form and it would be passed on. After making three phone calls and being told there was no trace of this form, I called in person to be told to call back tomorrow when you would have had chance to track it down. I called in the next day and was assured it would be ready if I called back tomorrow as it was with the secretary. I called in on 10th February to be told it was not ready but I would receive a phone call later on that day when it would be ready. This never happened. I then phoned the practice back later on 10th February to be told it has been posted back to me to be filled in by occupational health at work. How Ludacris is this when it is occupation health at work that requested you to complete it in the first place. After a visit to accident and emergency on 29th January I was diagnosed with a torn meniscus. I was told this would take a minimum of 6 to 12 weeks to recover from. I then self-certified for the first seven days. On the 6th February I phoned the practice to request a fit note. I was told I needed to have a telephone consultation with the doctor before this could be issued and I would receive a phone call from the doctor, this never happened. Then a text was sent to me on 8th February with a link for the fit note. I phoned the practice on the same day to say I need a paper copy as I do not have the necessary i.t. equipment to deal with this. I was told to call in the practice on 9th February to pick it up. I called in and was told it was not ready but I would get a phone call in the morning to confirm it was ready. This never happened. I then called in on the 10th February and was told it was not ready but I would receive a phone call later on that day when it would be ready. This never happen. I then received a text requesting further information regarding the fit note. I then phoned the practice and was told you wanted to know the dates of the fit note (bearing in mind this had already been completed and sent electronically.) I was then told there had been some confusion over the fit note but it should be ready by the 13th January. How difficult is it for a general practice to issue a fit note? I have been repeatedly fobbed off and purposely lied too. This whole situation has been shambolic. This practice is a disgrace to your profession.

I was unhappy around lunch time and by tea time the staff helped me to sort things out by telephoning me and explaining why things are done the way they are. Sometimes a little patience is needed by us the patients that the doctors staff are very busy and have to deal with lots of different issues. It was so nice today to resolve my problem. A big thank you to all the staff at Denton medical for all your support. Xxx Harriet Nowak.
