    My daughter is poorly rang hendford surgery multiple times manage to get phone call appointment doctor never called said they did try to contact me but never I’m waiting for phone call now 24 hour mark no one cares and the lady in reception very rude and started to shout at me over the phone and said can’t do any thing as your daughter 16 needs to give consent honestly worst surgery ever trying to find another gp surgery been with hendford fir 15 years now never was i or anyone in my household treaded this way .

    It is difficult to get through. Even when you do you will not see a GP you will see a Paramedic even when your condition is chronic (COPD) when seeing someone who understands the condition is vital. They don't read the history so when you tell them antibiotics which are issued quite commonly prescribed don't work they don't listen and prescribe something you know hasn't worked in the past. They do COPD reviews over the phone. How you can tell if the patient has deteriorated over the last few months is beyond me. Getting an appointment see an actual Doctor is fine is you can wait weeks. If you have a chest infection you have to go through speaking to a doctor via a telephone call who will decide if you need to be seen (But not by them)by a paramedic. Then you virtually have to insist.

    I’ve been trying for weeks to get an appointment. When I am able to ring at 0830, the appointments for that day are always taken. Why can’t you book for future days? Online Consult never works. The phone rings for ages before someone answers and can’t then help as the staff are following practice orders. Why can’t you ring to make appointments for future dates?

The practice offers routine appointments for non-urgent matters that can be booked in advance and also provides an on the day service for patients with acute symptoms. Due to the demand on our services, when we are fully booked, we do ask patients to contact us again to book an appointment. We are sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience when using our online consult service. Online consult is available to patients Monday – Friday, between the hours of 08:30 – 11:00. If you would like to provide more detail about the difficulty you had using it, we will of course investigate this.   4. Review titled Accepting new patients?!

    I cannot understand how this practice is showing as accepting new patients when it's impossible for current patients to get an appointment. I get that times are tough and it's busy but the online consult doesn't even work regardless of what time of day you try to use it, it just says "No Search Results" to any issue you type in. Yesterday after 2 days of failed attempts at getting an appointment, I desperately tried to go through 111 waiting 10 hours for a call back which finally came at 3.30am to get help for my 20 month, to be told I definitely need to speak with a GP. 111 referred me through for a telephone appointment with this GP, who this morning sent me a 'no reply' text saying to call their number and I'm back to square 1 as when I call the number it cuts straight off and doesn't even ring. I'd like to say this is a one off but it's not. If you're looking at this practice as a possibility but you may have to actually see a GP at some point... Avoid... Avoid... Avoid...
