Review titled Poor reception service
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 14 June 2024
It's a shame, this practice used to be really good and appears to have become worse for capacity since it became Diamond. My online request got cancelled because I came in and couldn't stay to leave a sample due to a long waiting queue at reception and then needing to leave to go to an appointment. I went back, waited a long time again and then just got told to just come back the next week or go to the attached pharmacy attached, another long queue. There only ever appears to be one person on reception who needs to send emails, go to the pharmacy and do everything else alongside speaking to patients. They clearly need more reception staff, it's not good enough.

We apologise that this was your experience. You are correct about the pressures on the front desk staff and we are actively recruiting to add more staff. We have also recently experienced high levels of sickness absence that add to the pressures on the desk and the staff capacity to assist patients in a timely manner.

Review titled Terrible gp surgery
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Jacob Chiverton - Posted on 11 June 2024
Horrendous experience. Sent around in circles. Awful booking system to get spoken to by a GP. Told incorrect information from receptionists. I feel failed by this surgery and will be looking for a different doctors. Ongoing issue causing rehabilitating pain for months, yet processed make it nearly impossible to been seen.

The practice is very sorry that you had a negative experience. In July we introduced a new system for booking appointments. All requests are seen by a GP and they instruct the team on actions to take. They will ask the reception team to book either face to face or telephone appointments on the day or 7 or 14 days in advance. I hope you find this system more accommodating.

Review titled Find different GP

Oakwood Leeds Surgery, part of the Diamond Medical Group is Bordering on dangerous with failure to reply to elderly patients, can't use the online system, can't get through on phone, promised a call back, sat with phone for 12 hours- nothing.. This is the reason people turn up at A&E

The practice is sorry that you had this experience. We have introduced an add on to the phone system called Voice Assist which will take a recording of your query and it will be sent directly to a GP for triage and attention. Please do try this in the future.

Review titled Total and absolute lack of communication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anna T - Posted on 24 May 2024
I attend to some of my elderly mother's care with permission. I rang to make an appointment to speak to a gp regarding some concerns only to be told they don't make appointments for future dates and I would need to phone on the day at 8am. Easier said than done because there's a huge queue which is going to happen because they have everyone ringing at the same time so it's just luck of the draw. I decided to email them however it seems there is one email address for all the surgeries but I did anyway. Two weeks on and no one has had the decency to reply or to contact my mother. This is in such stark contrast to the gp surgery I'm registered at where I can get an appointment for that day or 3 weeks down the line. Emails are replied to and if they think it's needed and they're concerned they give you a call. I think the way things are run by Diamond Medical Group is dangerous because it leaves people unable to get appointments or have contact with a gp regarding their health

The practice is very sorry that this was your experience. Since July of this year we have instigated a number of changes that should make accessing a GP so much easier. We have also introduced some options regarding waiting on the telephone which may also help with access.

Review titled Outstanding Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I wanted to write to share with you how amazing Rutland Lodge is. We’ve had to see a doctor over the last few weeks, a couple of times, for various different things - each and every time they have been brilliant. So efficient, so professional, so understanding and excellent advice. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rutland lodge to anyone. Sadly, I can’t remember the names of the doctors who we have dealt with but they were all brilliant. Thank you to everyone at Rutland lodge for your time, advice and efficiency. I really appreciate it.
