  1. Review titled Fantastic Staff Nurses Especially

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Please Can you let me nurse know how much I really appreciate her in the health centre. She has red hair in a ponytail. I went to get my blood checked and she was super gentle and very polite. Thank you

  2. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ruth - Posted on 25 June 2024

I phoned Donnington yesterday morning to both enquire about my and my son’s health complaint. I spoke to a really friendly and helpful receptionist who confirmed that she would put our calls on triage and sent me a link to complete more information about our complaints. About an hour later she phoned to reassure me that a GP felt I was taking the correct steps already for my son and offering me a same day appointment (at a different health centre). For a really stretched and over-worked workforce, I was so impressed and very thankful for this amazing service

Just came in for blood test. Receptionist told me to see nurse. I was a bit worried because I should have contacted her for a regular hormone injection and felt guilty. The nurse did blood test and I mention hormone injections. Yes I was over due and she then tried to do one there and then. I am really impressed with this service and she didn’t scold me. You’re a great team ! Regards, john

This is the best GP practice ever! Our family of four feel extremely well looked after every time any of us has to go to an appointment. Thank you all!

  7. Review titled Concerning

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have been with the practice a couple of years now, and generally I would say my experience has been a mixed bag given the very difficult circumstances of since March 2020 for all. However, about 8 weeks ago I got a chest infection/cold, gave it a while to clear, but after all this time still have a hacking cough, get light headed when coughing, have a constant headache with my stomach muscle in pain due to coughing - but I have only been offered a phone consultation and told face to face appointments are not possible at this time. I understand and appreciate these are trying times, but failing to see sick people seems to be missing the point of becoming a doctor - or am I missing something? I appreciate there are people out there with very serious conditions that take priority, rightly so, but a phone consultation will not tell them anything I do not already know.

  8. Review titled Phone Consultation Time Slots

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I managed to book a telephone appointment using the NHS App. Booked a time slot of 09.00. Waited till 10.30 and rang the surgery to see if there was a problem. Only to be told by receptionist that it could be anytime between 9 and 13.00. Why not state this when booking the appointment. Just say its either a morning or afternoon appointment!

  9. Review titled Excellent GP practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I've been with this practice for nearly 10 years, along with my kids. I am really happy with them. The doctors listen to me, share their expertise, make me feel involved and give me choices about my care. The nurses are friendly and professional, and put us at ease, even with scary things like jabs for the kids. Reception are always very kind, explain things clearly, give useful options for appointment times, and don’t make me feel rushed.
