I had an appointment on 27/11/24 at 16:30 and GP was unhelpful and unprofessional, he told me that he can’t refer me to dietitian because they work only for hospital patients and that I should Google about healthy diet instead. Also he wasn’t interested to discuss my medications when I told him that it doesn’t work. I came for appointment for nothing, as nothing productive and positive happened. Very disappointing experience.

I am afraid I was forced here when my practiced "merged" with them. I have found that some of the staff are not very friendly and need lessons in dealing with the public. When it comes to ordering repeat prescriptions online the system makes mistakes and I nearly always need to ring them to sort out items that haven't been issued. If you do need to call them you are in a queue for at least 50 minutes, and more often than not you just get cut off. They have a recorded message that tells you to use their online messaging system but it is a dead loss as they never respond to it. We were promised that after the merger the GP services in Bridlington would be greatly improved but to me the opposite has happened. I feel that the quality of health care in Bridlington is at best very poor, but bordering on unsafe.

Earlier this month I called into the reception to ask about what inoculations I might need for a holiday in 3 months time, tersely told to 'look on the nhs website' by receptionist and that was it. I did as I was instructed and after several hours trawling through endless web pages managed to find my past inoculations records and a list of possible jabs I might require. Called back today only to be told they are not doing any inoculations and that I should direct my enquiry to another website or contact a local pharmacy for advice. Why couldn't i have been told this from the outset then I wouldn't have wasted my time to find the info for them. There is a lot of conflicting advice on even the nhs website (and their links) and it advises that once you have your inoculation records you should contact your gp for advice. I am left none the wiser and have been fobbed off with visiting a pharmacy or another website for advice, not at all impressed with the standard of service I have received on this occasion and wonder what my experience might have been had it been something more serious, not impressed at all.

I tried today (22/7/24) to contact this surgery using their online form. Under the online contact details of this GP surgery it clearly states “You can contact us online using our online form.” But when i clicked on the option to complete it, the ‘online form’ was unavailable. Instead, i was directed to ring either 111, or 999. So i tried to send a message via the NHS online app to this surgery but that didnt work either. So dont waste your precious time trying any of the above methods to get in touch with the surgery. I discovered the only way to get a message to this surgery is to ring them - and wait in an average (telephone) queue length of 30 or 40 people! Or actually go into the surgery and speak to someone on reception. Where does this leave someone frail, elderly or disabled who can’t visit the surgery in person? Or can’t hear very well over the phone ? And is it an acceptable situation anyway -for all patients? I really don’t think so. In fact i think it is totally unacceptable and an extremely bad state of affairs!

I received a doctors appointment the day after my request. I couldn't see the previous doctor I'd seen because he had been a locum. However the doctor I saw, was equally good, listening, explaining, taking sufficient time etc. I have had to visit the surgery for a number of problems since the merger, and although you may not see the same person, you do get prompt appointments by experienced staff which I am extremely grateful for

visited the surgery today and got the stand in doctor, i was amazed very friendly helpful and most of all he was a good laugh and very down too earth, hopr the practice keeps him

After doing an online assessment I was given an appointment with a MSK doctor within 2 days and received treatment at that appointment, from start to finish I cannot fault Practice 3 at all and I am very happy that my on going problem has now been dealt with fast & efficient.
